Park Place RV Resort
There were
a few spatters of leftover rain when Bill took Gibbs out at 6:30 on Wednesday,
Feb. 23rd. By the time we went for our walk at 7:45, it had stopped.
It was still windy and a cool 48F/8C under mostly cloudy skies. I dressed
appropriately though and it was quite a nice, mid walk. No encounters with any
critters today but I’ll tell you that I am ever watchful. Not used to being out
here this late in the year.

Back home
Bill had Gibbs’ breakfast ready but he only pecked at it, off and on, while we
sat and had our morning drinks and Bill had his cereal. It wasn’t that he
thought we were going anywhere so perhaps he was just nervous. 😊 He is getting a full groom and pampering (not that he thinks
of it that way!) at Tara’s Grooming. Tara seems like a sweet lady and her
reviews are very good. Gibbs badly needs a cut and nail trim and it’s only been
2 months.
Gibbs meets yet another doggie along our walk
this one at the back of their 'home'
Both were very calm
We
dawdled around in the morning and at 11, I walked over to the clubhouse. It had
rained off and on but not heavy at all. It stops in about 2 minutes so I don’t
know what it’s doing for the landscape but it must help keep the dust down at
least. I worked away at the puzzle and chatted with Heather and Don (3rd
co-hosts) before returning at noon for lunch.
Walking around the block, this is the rv park

Bacon and
eggs today and then we got cleaned up to go to town. We dropped our baby off at
1:30 and then drove over to Keuhn St. to the Gift Shop in Tyson Wells. We are
looking for a particular greeting card for someone special with no luck. We
didn’t find one there either and although there are a lot of puzzles, games
etc. in the store, everything was quite pricey and we left shortly after.

We
returned home after taking a leisurely drive around Quartzsite, just touring
the streets, killing time. Tara gave us a 2-hour window for when he’d be ready
for pick up but we weren’t surprised when it was more like 2 ¾ hours. 😊 She is a small lady and he had a lot of hair. When we picked
him up, for a minute I didn’t see ‘our’ Gibbs right away. I love his long curly
hair but it was just too hot and he surely felt 100% better. ♥
We got a tip at the K & B store on Main St.
to go to the Quartzsite Outpost near Gem WorldIt was a treat and we'll go back
So many books and all at $2 or less
This is the mystery section ♥
Her price
was reasonable and we were both proud to hear that he was perfect. He loves the
bath and she said he gave her no problem with his cut or his nails. Huh! No
muzzle was required, the little bum behaved top notch. He obviously likes his
Quartzsite groomer. Of course, it was rainy and wet when we picked him up so we
all got a bit wet. Back home, we coddled him and oohed and aahed over his
velvety coat and sweet smell. His face could have been trimmed more but we are
still pleased and hadn’t specified what we wanted. He’s still a cutie patootie.
| Meet the new pooch! Just kidding, Gibbs, you sure have a different look ♥ |
For
supper, Madame IP roasted a half pork loin and then gravy. On the stove, I
fried the leftover potatoes and cooked each of our vegetables. My asparagus was
a bit well done since it took the pork a few minutes longer than expected.
Supper was delicious right down to the gravy. Yum! The good thing is that there
are leftovers for another night or two so even though it seemed like a big deal
to prepare, there is a bonus. 😊
I loaded
the dishwasher and turned it on and then sat with our little furball for the
evening. He was pretty calm and laid back. That, today, was quite an experience
for him! This was a nasty day for weather but it was still a great one.
| Good night everyone! |
Thank you
for stopping around.
