Ladies Pool, More Busy-ness

Park Place RV Park

On Monday, Mar. 2nd we don't need to worry about the new month coming in like a lamb here. I'm sure it will be going out the same way but back home, it was a rhyme we always quoted to each other in the hopes it started cold and left warmer. 😄

Good morning!
Gibbs jumps right into his duties
before 8 am.
All secure on the home front.

Things started off busy in the office this morning, but in between poker pool with 4 other ladies, Sue and I got things taken care of. I like to say that she is in my back pocket, there to pull out like an Ace card when I need her. Thankfully, she is very obliging and a great value to me.

The nice thing here is that our mornings
don't change much from one day
to another.

We had a few inquiries for yearly bookings resulting in one returning and one reserved. I tied with Bette for 2nd place in pool with Sue coming out ahead by 1 point. We had a lot of fun, as usual in amongst the interruptions.

Do you feel like you're being watched?
This is a cute puzzle and I didn't realize
that I did the easy part first!

Clouds and wind moved in but the heat remained

By the end of the day, 55 of 88 guest electric bills had been paid so, yes, a bit busy in a good way. I worked on the puzzle in between visits and we closed up at 4 after doing the basic cleaning of machines, floors and garbage. No stone unturned, if possible. 😉

It looked like a nice sunset was
in store for us.

The day became quite windy, as expected, but the temperature dropped 4° since yesterday. Still 89F/29C and still aok by us!

Goodbye sun.

While supper cooked, I
kept an eye on the outside performance.

Bill took our towels and bath mats over to wash during the last hour of our duty and then at 4, the two loads of laundry. He's a keeper and this will free up my early morning.

I guess we weren't paying him much attention.
He grabbed one of my slippers and waited for a
lift onto the chair. When I asked "where's my other
slipper", he gave me this one and brought the second.
That awarded him a treat.
Goofball. 💘

For supper, we settled on baked pork chops, steamed broccoli and potatoes for Bill.

The everchanging sky.
Gorgeous!

It has been a good day with some fun thrown in the mix to keep it interesting. 😀

Supper was delicious.
Mixed berries and whipped cream
for dessert.
Good night!

Thank you for your visit!

Busy Morning, New Puzzle, Dinner Out

Park Place RV Park

On Sunday, Mar. 1st I was awake and beginning the 'get up out of bed' process by 7:15. No rush, just slow moving. I joined Bill downstairs and had my tea. At least I didn't have a blog to finish this morning.

Good Sunday morning!

We did the usual routine, Bill and Gibbs on the cart around the park. They stopped at the dog park where they check for errant dog droppings and oft times Gibbs gets to play with Tucker for a few minutes. This was one of those days........until.....

You know it's hot when your
large jar of coconut oil melts.

Today, Rosy was jealous, Anne Marie's dog, 'Tucker is my friend!'. She ran to the fence and the two of them barked at each other from opposite sides until Bill led our tough pooch back to the cart. 😂 Gibbs seems tough, but I wouldn't want to see them off leash. Maybe they would be fine. 🤷

This is such a cute puzzle!
Thank you Stephanie for the gesture!

The office was busy for a lot of the day, with guests paying their electric bills but there were also many quiet periods which allowed me to start the new puzzle Stephanie gave me. It is so cute and I just had to get started at it.

At the end of the day,
the sun shifts but the day remains
just as warm.

At day's end, Sue put a note on the door that staff would be at a dinner and who to call in case of emergency. We all drove to Sizzler in Blythe, CA. We'd never been and as much as I have never really cared for the run down looking town, it was nice to get out for a meal together.

It was a nice meal.
Full salad bar but all I wanted was a Caesar salad.
Sadly, they never refilled the bowl so I missed out.
Instead, I had crab salad and cottage cheese. 😀

I ordered Tri-Tip with a vegetable medley and Bill ordered Rib-Eye and Shrimp with a baked potato. It was very good but I should have went with medium rare for my first time trying it in a restaurant. Thank you to Fred and Sue for the unexpected treat!

Our meals tonight.
no cooking, no cleanup, no cost!

We were home shortly after 6:30 and it was still a warm 85F/27C. We leave the a/c on until the outside temp is cooler than inside and then open windows instead.

Behind us, the sun set.

Back at home, the south sky was the
prettiest.

I tagged along with my boys
on their walk. Gibbs was excited to
keep us both together.
Good night!

It should be another nice night for sleeping.

It has been a great day! Thank you for stopping by.
