Park Place RV Park
On Thursday, Nov. 14th there was nothing pressing on my mind that I had to do, see, say or anything! I love that retired feeling, that I can get away with only doing what I want. 😊 I was up at 7 and out the door within a few minutes. The morning was clear again, cool at 44F/7C, but with just a light breeze, I wore my light hoody and light poncho. I do always take my mini gloves though, and needed them for my walk.
There was
nothing to see this morning, different than any other mornings, but I enjoy the
peacefulness of the early jaunts, listening to my tunes. When I returned, Bill
was also in retirement mode, taking his time to get ready to go to the field.
As long as the winds remain moderate (below 10 mph) he can pretty much count on
getting a few flights in.
After my tea, I had my shower, took Gibbs for his 50-step walk, pulled chicken thighs out for supper and then went to the clubhouse. I’m sure I heard the doggies and kitties in the puzzle calling for my attention. I worked from about 10:30 until noon and bit by bit, more pieces are falling into place. It is taking some effort but still fun enough to keep at it. 😊
Yup, I'm having fun and now it's
coming together much easier.
Even
though the forecast for the day was to be 78F/26C, I found the breeze to be a
tad cool. That just meant I wore stretch pants instead of shorts this morning.
Once my fingers are chilly, it takes me longer to warm up. On his way home,
Bill stopped at Moon Mountain Mail to pick up my parcel. I’m not sure if you
have heard of the Prepared Hero fire blankets? Well, we thought it was a wise
investment so I ordered them a week ago. I feel ‘prepared’ just having them in
the Suite.
We all had lunch and I started my blog while he and Gibbs dozed in our chairs. The park is hosting an American Thanksgiving potluck on the 28th so I have been trying to decide what to take. People/guests seem to take forever to sign up which makes it a real challenge for the managers to know how much turkey and potatoes to buy and prepare. Even for attendees, how much do we make? I’ve decided on a side dish and may plan on a pumpkin ‘something’ for dessert. Hmmm, cheesecake?
Linda parked behind us for the night. Cute little trailer and she is just returning home from a 9 week trip across country with her girlfriends. |
I went
back to the puzzle after reading a few chapters in my J.P. book. It is good! I
made good progress today, there is definitely a noticeable difference. Before I
left at 4, an overnight rv’er pulled in behind us for the night. She is very
friendly and we struck up a conversation about this and that. I offered the
puzzle to her to work on this evening since she is in a teardrop Pegasus
trailer and the evenings can be long. 😊 When I left her, she was going to have herself a game of
pool.
For
supper, we had air fried chicken thighs, fried potatoes, fried mushrooms,
spaghetti sauce and corn. Lots of food, yet not too much. It was very good and
left us a lot of pots to hand wash, but that’s okay. I have 3 programs to watch
live tonight so finished my blog early and settled in for the evening. This has
been a nice day, reaching the predicted high I mentioned earlier and only
dropping to 52F/12C overnight. Perfect.Supper was good.
Dirtying a lot of pots tells the tale!
Not enough pictures of my own today
so you get this one I've saved of someone elses.
They don't need much water - good thing!
Good night!
Thank you
