Park Place RV Park
On Thursday, Nov. 7th we woke up to a cool morning, 41F/5C. I was up a few minutes before 7 and on my way out the door by 7:05. I decided to wear a light hoody, my Quartzsite poncho and mini gloves. 😊 There was hardly any wind this morning so it was a lovely walk. To try and make up the mile, I veered to the town park for a walk through and a selfie.
Back
home, I was ready for my tea and had my last keto yogourt to fill my gnawing
tummy. Bill was ready to leave for the field when I returned and I sat and
worked on my online games until I finished my drink. Before I took Gibbs for
his walk, I brushed his teeth. He doesn’t exactly co-operate but he does sit
and let me get the finger brush in his mouth. He likes to chew on it, while I
scrub. ♥ Goof!
It has been a while since I took a selfie.
So, I took one today in the town park.
By 10:00,
I was ready to make my coffee and go work on the puzzle. Bill pulled in, early,
like ships passing in the night (almost). 😊 I worked on the puzzle with my earbuds in as I listened to
Sirius XM. I made some progress, getting into the centre of the picture now,
leaving the hard stuff until the end. Yikes! At noon, we had lunch together.
Pictures from my walk.
PS - I bypassed my previous steps today.
I hopped
into Black Beauty and drove to Roadrunner for some ingredients for omelettes
and my tortilla pizzas. While out, I ventured into the new DG Market to check
it out. They need help, only one cashier working and all 4 self-checkouts were
out of service. ☹ It is a nice store, a few empty
shelves still, but I hope they get more people hired. There are enough people
out begging for $$. Hint hint.
This tree is displaying
good advice.
Don't give up.
When I
returned home, Bill was done working on his laptop and was feeling like a
snooze was in order, so I left them alone and walked over to the clubhouse. For
an hour and a half, I dedicated myself to finishing the puzzle and succeeded.
By 3:30, I was on my way home. It was a really good one and I loved the
challenge. I feel that it took me longer than usual, hmm, 4 days, I’ll have to
get better!
One thing you don't want to see when
you are hungry............good thing I don't like muffins.
(the time on my camera needs to be adjusted)
I had my tea at home and read more chapters in my book. It’s good, but I put it down when my cup was empty and slipped into a warm hoody and took Gibbs out. He just isn’t into walking in the afternoon for some reason. We go far enough for him to piddle and then he stops, turns around and comes back to our site for his poop. That’s it, he heads for the door.
It could be because Daddy is home or it could be because of his ‘new-to-him-again’ toy Monkey. I had taped up his butt, the area Gibbs chewed when he was a baby and got it out the other day as well. He has become quite attached and is taking his time unstuffing him. ♥ I think he likes him, as he drags him everywhere in here. 😊
For
supper, Bill grilled a large pork chop to share and it was delicious! You know
how I am about pork chops……….not my favourite……….but it was tender and pretty
perfect. Inside, I cooked corn and squash and reheated the leftover rice from
the other night. It was a good meal. We cleaned up the morning coffee/tea mugs
(they don’t go in the dishwasher) and sat and watched 9-1-1 and Elspeth
together.
This was
a pretty good day. It reached 68F/20C and we are expecting another cool night.
We may be turning the blue flame heater on before bed.
This is such a good message - without words.
Life is short so I hope you laugh like this often. 💗
Good night!
Thank you
for stopping by.
I love pork chops....
ReplyDeleteMaybe Gibbs is still adjusting to the Altitude Difference.
