Park Place RV Park
On Sunday, Nov. 24th we were up by 7, sorting laundry. We were both tired last night but it was most noticeable in Bill. He was in bed by 9. I followed at 10, my usual. The sun really does tire you out because there wasn’t a lot of activity during his day, nor mine. I did walk a fair bit, almost 10,000 steps, a high count for me for a change. 😊
Last
night, I took suggestions from a few of my commenters and watched 3 episodes of
Murder in a Small Town. After the first one, I was hooked. I love it! The main
character is adorable. (insert eye flutter). Ha ha. So, thank you, I have
recommended it to my sister back home, they will like it too. We got our laundry
sorted and Bill carried it over. I have gone on my walk after loading them into
the dryers, as it gives me 45 minutes, but not today.
Bill left for the flying field and I took care of the switch-a-roo when the time was up. After they were dried, folded and put away, Gibbs and I went for his walk. It was a lovely day and warming up quickly from the mild start of 50F/10C. Just perfect! I gave him a treat, pulled some blinds, put the awnings out and walked up to Family Dollar and Coyote Fresh Foods. They are side by side which is handy.
I found a few things at Family $ and then at the grocery store, picked up a loaf of bread for Bill and a pound of Italian ground sausage. A recipe I’m making for the potluck calls for it so I thought I’d try. Their meat does look great, fresh cut, never frozen. We may have to consider buying more there. 😊 Back home, I was surprised to see Bill at our site already. If I’d waited, I could have taken BB.
The puzzle is coming. Elva, your Red Door is finished!
Anyway, I
needed the walk. I did fall short though, in comparison to yesterday’s steps. I’ll
reach 7,000 before the day is out so that’s pretty good. We had lunch together,
mine was a fish sandwich. The fish was leftover from our dinner out and we had
one burger bun left. It was quite yummy with tartar sauce!
We needed to adjust our gazebo. It seems to be out of whack lately. Bill thinks it may have shrunk due to the wet weather last winter. With that done, I walked over to the puzzle, I’ve neglected it for a couple of days. I’m making good progress but a lot of hard pieces left, dark colours mostly. I returned home at 3:30 after giving Sue some suggestions for our Pokeno ‘train’. We have finally figured something out; 2 heads are better than one and we have what we need to play! 😊
The clouds moved in this afternoon
and we'll have another mild night.
My Ladies
Poker Pool is added to the December calendar so I sure hope we can find some
ladies to play next month. I really miss it and she is anxious to learn it. The
other thing I fell short on today was pictures. I just didn’t take more than a
few. It will be a boring read so I may have to fill in with some memory photos,
I guess.
We are excited because our friends, Patty and Duncan, are arriving tomorrow for a couple of months! We always enjoy the time together back home on the Ridge so this will be a treat. I made my tea and when it was finished, Gibbs and I went for our walk. The clouds have moved over and that means the temperature drops quickly. I’m not complaining though, I know what it is like back home.
Someone is tired right out.
he has been a good boy today. 💖
He'll be happy to see his friend, Duncan tomorrow.
Heck, he's happy to see anybody!
I noticed
that Bill has strung our little white lights in the gazebo. It looks festive
and maybe we’ll sit out a few more nights with them on. Supper is chicken
thighs, potato, and a vegetable. Rosy, my a.f. will do the chicken for me and I’ll
do the rest on the stove.
Supper was very good, cooked perfectly. I thought I took a picture but you'll have to trust me on that one. We cleaned up on time to watch our programs. We reached a high of 75F/24C today. I’ll watch The Floor tonight and maybe another episode or two of M in a S T. 😊 This was a good day.
Sorry for the blur, I took it quickly.
Good night!
Thank you
for popping in.
I have been buying meat from Coyote's for the last few years when we are in the Quartzsite area. We have never been disappointed.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have good friends join you for a couple of months.
