Dusty Sunrise, Super Moon to End the Day

Park Place RV Park

On Friday, Nov. 15th I was up at 7:10 and out the door at 7:25 for my walk. It was a mild morning, 55F/13C, so I downplayed my layers again. A fleece hoody and my wind breaker was just enough. My walks throughout the day do not add up to any huge numbers in steps but I am just proud that I’m getting up and out there.

Last night's waxing gibbous moon
and western sky

It is so easy to talk myself out of going as I’m laying in bed under those warm covers. So, as it is now, by the time the day is done, some days I’m not even reaching my goal of 6,000 but it’s better than what I was doing all summer. 😊 Last night, I’m not sure how many of you noticed the moon, it was in a Waxing Gibbous phase, as close to a full moon as it would get.

Good morning!
A blurry sun rises behind the dust

But it doesn't last all morning.

Tonight, will be the last full moon (aka Beaver/Super Moon) for this year. I hope it remains clear so we get a good view. Not that I am ever able to snap a good photo but at least I’ll see it with the naked eye. Enough science! Also last night, I had a full evening of tv. I began watching at 6 (9-1-1), at 7 (Matlock), at 8 (Elspeth) and then at 9 (Cross) and I was in bed by 10. An enjoyable media evening. 😊

A few pictures from my morning walk

As I walked this morning, I was able to catch the sunrise but it was smitten with dust so was not very clear at all. The mountains to the east of us were just a blur for a lot of the early morning. That is the indication that the winds were increased today compared to the last few days. It wasn’t terrible but too windy for someone to fly, which means between 12 – 20 mph at times. Bill went to Jim’s (aka the Hangar) to work on recovering a plane.

Arizona Sun Park behind us is a sister park to
ours, same owner.
At this point, they have a lot of empty sites.
That may change come December.

Gibbs went for a brief walk with me around 10 and then I went to work on the puzzle. At noon, Bill and I met back at the Suite for lunch and then after another brief walk with Gibbs, I returned to finish what I’d started over at the clubhouse. Sheila joined me and we finished putting the last few pieces in just before 4. Good timing! 😊 I’m so happy no pieces are missing, I think it would be a fun challenge for my sister and her husband. Right Donna?

Some of you knew this would be done today.
You were not wrong. 😂

Today, I made room for the 3 quilts under our bed and changed my mind about vacuuming. Well, Bill helped with that decision. With the windy days on the horizon, I’ll wait until Sunday to do that. It needs the big central vac to do a good job this time around. I made my tea and at 5, Bill started the barbecue. Sausages for supper, on a bun so we can finish up the last two buns.

As you can see, Monkey still lives.
He is still in one piece, although thinner in the head.

Gibbs still carries him most everywhere in the Suite. 💖

Monkey's proud 'person'.

They were delicious. The other night I watched Max, the movie, and tonight Max 2 was on so after eating, I turned it on downstairs. Looking out the window, the moon was rising in the east. Already it was a pale yellow and quite big. 😊 I’ve enjoyed this day, we reached 72F/24C but we'll keep windows closed tonight with it dropping to a cooler 47F/8C.

Yummy good.

I’m sure friends back home are chuckling, as they are getting our overnight temps for their daytime highs. Sorry about that. I hope your day has been a good one.

My attempts at capturing the super moon

It was pretty when it hid behind the clouds

It continues to rise in the sky but
I won't even bother to try and do any better than this. 😃
Good night!

Thank you for the visit today.
