Coffee Time and Parker Time

Park Place RV Park

On Wednesday, Nov. 13th I was up a few minutes after 7, and was on my way out the door by 7:30. Bill had his first (of the season) Desert Flyers meeting at 9 so was in no rush to leave. He was here when I returned but left soon after. It was a lovely morning, calm and sunny, just the way I like it. Even the 49F/10C felt warmer than what the thermometer read. 😊

Good morning!
The sun was up before I got out the door.
Luckily, I could see it from home base.

It was a good walk and when I returned, I made my tea and sat and played my games. I should have taken Gibbs out for his walk but wasted too much time with the Wordle and then it was too late. I walked over with my mug to the clubhouse for coffee hour. I felt bad for Sue and Fred when only 4 of us showed up. She had made a delicious coffee cake (not usually my thing) and Jess and I soon ate the second half of the pieces we started out with! Yummy good! I should have taken a picture. Duh.

The drive to Parker is pretty desolate
but I enjoy it.

The new highway was done on time before
the big rush of 'snowbirds' return.

Around 9:30 I moved over to the puzzle table and worked there until I saw Bill return home. We’d planned on a trip to Walmart in Parker to stock up on food items and as soon as I walked back, we left. Sue had asked me to pick up a few things for her while there so after getting all groceries on our list, we got one of her items and returned home. The construction on that drive is now finished so no delays getting there and back. 😊

The mountains in the distance
beckoning to us.

We got a good mess of food and spent less than we thought it was going to be. That’s always a bonus. We found homes for everything in our fridge, cupboards and storage closet so that is another bonus. I think we’ll be good now for a couple of weeks. We had a late lunch of meat, cheese and lettuce sandwiches and I tried to take Gibbs for a walk while Bill dozed but no can do. It wasn’t in the plans. Maybe he was upset with me for forgetting him this morning.

You may not notice much difference.
I really did put a few pieces in!

I went to the puzzle and made small contributions to that mess and returned home before 4. I made my tea, started my blog and then tried a walk with Gibbs again before supper.  He didn’t want to go too far but he did make it worth my while to go out with him. For supper, Bill grilled our bacon cheeseburgers before 5:30. Survivor started at 6MT and I was ready. The burgers were, of course, delicious. We finished our meal off with some of Sue’s coffee cake. Perfect!

Supper was good.
Good night!

This was a great day, 78F/26C, can’t ask for any more than that!

Thank you for popping in.

  3. Boy, that puzzle does look tough - I'd have no patience for it, but 'good on ya' for sticking with it. The burgers look delish.

  4. I probably would have gone for a second helping on that coffee cake :-) We cannot resist anything sweet. That road looks super nice toward Parker.

  5. Good luck with that puzzle. I would have put it away by now, but I know you'll persevere!
