Park Place RV Park
On Saturday, Nov. 16th the Richards household was sticking close to their usual routine. The boys were first out at 6 and then Gibbs and I got up at 7. I got close to just lazin’ it out and staying put BUT pushed myself to get up and move. I did a bit of a change up in my walking path and it actually gave me a better step count and I like it better. 😊
Good morning! The moon held a pretty spot among the pink clouds in the west sky. |
On my
walk, I noticed another yard sale sign at the corner, pointing back to the
residential area again. Hmmm, later I’ll go check it out. Bill left for the
field since the winds were minimal and I made myself a cup of tea, sitting with
Gibbs to play my online games. With my tea done, Gibbs and I went out and he
went the full gamut, around the outside perimeter of the park. Good job! This
added more steps for me too.
But I was mesmerized by the east sky. That sun rising into those golden clouds were picture worthy. |
I couldn't resist turning around on my walk to see the changes. |
I left
before 10 and walked back to check out the sale and it was small and proved to
be nothing of interest to me. I carried on around the area, returning home with
almost 6,000 steps already. That’s my goal each day, even though that isn’t a
lot for most people. I went to the clubhouse and put the Hallowe’en puzzle away
and started a new one around 10:30. I thought this would be an easy one……….the
pieces are bigger but I think that is a misconception on my part.
I still like white clouds against a bright blue sky though too. |
The
border was a challenge and I’m still waiting for 3 pieces to pop out at me as I
work away at the body. Okay, this is going to be harder than I thought with so
many repeats plus, I’m craving chocolate!! LOL Back home to meet Bill for
lunch, I made us toasted westerns for a change. They were very good. Since keto
bread is easily accessible at Walmart, we are both eating it now. So far, that’s
working for Bill too. 😊
From the residential area that I talk about, our park is over there. Not too far at all. |
When he
was ready to head back to Jim’s to re-cover more of his plane, I asked him to
drop me off at Family Dollar so I could pick up another can of pumpkin. Of
course, while I’m there I had to walk the aisles and see what I could find of
interest. Chocolate bars fell into my arms so easily! Ha! I did pick up another
box of Christmas cards because I couldn’t remember how many we have left. For
$3, I’ll certainly use them over the years.
The puzzle. Morning progress - top right Afternoon progress - bottom right. |
I walked
home and let Gibbs out for another short walk. I went back to the puzzle until
2:30. My right leg and heel were aching so I figured I’d overdone it with the
walking, plus I wasn’t in my running shoes on the last trek. Crap! I took a
couple of Tylenol and laid down upstairs. Within 10 minutes, I felt relief and
tried dozing off. That didn’t happen with a call from M back home, but at least
when Bill returned at 3:30ish, I felt better.
Our diesel prices have changed numerous times already since we've arrived. Starting at $3.39, down to $3.19 and then this morning back to $3.25. Still pretty decent! |
He
grilled these peppercorn bacon-wrapped filets for supper and we had our own
vegetable with baked potatoes on the side. I wish I could say they were good
but I can’t. It wasn’t in the cooking either. Perhaps they could have been done
longer but after following the instructions for grilling, they were just not
very good. Mine was stringy and I couldn’t stomach the bloody meat. The rest of
the meal was great and filling enough. 😊
The sun, hovering below the bank of clouds, is ready to drop. |
The east sky is a close second...........until, wait for it. |
We
cleaned up, I nipped out to capture more sky pictures (because you never have
enough!) and wrote today’s story. Bill has a new movie starting at 6 so he disappeared
pronto – and so did his shadow. ♥ I’m going to read some of my book when my blog is done and then find a
movie of my own. I watched a cute one last night called Midnight Sun. A romance
but not mushy or too predictable. This has been a good day, except for my darn
ankle/heel!
The yummy meal that just, well, wasn't. |
We reached a cooler high of 69F/20C but with mostly sun, it was quite nice. It did cool down quickly and by 5 pm, we were closing windows. That’s Arizona for ya! By the way, I was 40 steps shy of 10,000 today so even though I may have paid for it, I patted myself on the back anyway. 😂
First place for the evening sky pictures. Good night! |
