Park Place RV Park
On Saturday, Nov. 9th I woke for the second time and looked at the clock. It was 7:08 so I did my usual leg stretches, adding a couple for a sore back. I noticed last night when I got up out of my recliner that I had a twinge. It was gone by morning but as a precaution, I did them anyway. 😊 I could hear Bill in deep sleep, aka snoring, downstairs in his recliner so he was still tired.
Good morning!
She was already up over the horizon when I got out.
I washed,
dressed, and slipped out the door trying hard not to wake him. Unfortunately,
Gibbs barked and so went that plan. He likes to be moving by 7:30 anyway so no
harm done, I’m sure. The air was coolish but without wind and with plenty of
sun (which I missed rising), I was comfortable. My poncho is working out great,
not too hot but plenty warm with a hoody underneath.
Gibbs wants you to meet Monkey.
Squeaker still in place and most fibrefill also.
I think he loves this one, maybe remembers him
from his first year. 💓
I’m
finding that the walk goes faster if I have my ear buds in and listen to
SiriusXM. Certain songs also beef up my tempo too which is good occasionally
too. 😊 Back home, I made my tea and sat to
play my games. Bill was almost ready to leave and disconnected us from power
for the day, as we have for a number of days in a row. That will help our
electric bill at the end of the month.
The picture is coming together.
Oooh, a bloody knife!
I might have to look for more like this!
Today was
vacuum day so I got the Dirt Devil out and took care of that business and then
hopped in the shower. Almost 10, I took Gibbs out for his walk, which was brief
but enough for him to do his business. Monkey was home waiting for him. We don’t
let him take his toys because he’ll drop them to sniff and we have to carry
them. 😊
I've tried to capture these speedy guys
for a few days now.
I love the Gamble Quail.
I've seen Mr. Roadrunner for 3 days now but
he is never close enough for a picture.
I made my
coffee and walked over to the clubhouse. This puzzle is a challenge but I’m
enjoying the mystery. I wasn’t going to show a picture of it this time, but
since the puzzle won’t be done by anyone reading my blog, it doesn’t matter.
That would spoil the fun of it for others. I returned home at noon, when I saw
Bill had also made it back. We had sandwiches for lunch and my sweeties
snoozed.
Jumping to my afternoon walk behind
the housing complex.
I started
my blog, checked our Catch the Ace draw back home and returned to the
clubhouse. Bill went over to Jim’s to work on a plane and decided I was going
to uncover the pool table and get familiar with shooting some balls around
again. It has been a long time! Now, where did I put my pool cue? Oh yes, under
the bed.
This is a well staged side yard.
The working windmill made a lovely shadow too.
I played
two games on my own (and won both, haha), covered the table and worked on the
puzzle until 2:30. That was enough for today. I sat in the gazebo and Gibbs sat
on the step in the shade until 3:30 or so and we came inside just as Bill
returned home. I made a tea and went back out. It is quite comfy out there in
the partial sun and my reclining chair. I could have snoozed too but the book
is too good now.
Oh, the Saguaros!
Between 50 - 75 years old before they get babies
but look at how the base deteriorates.
Makes me sad. This is how close to the desert and mountains we are
here. Love the views.
Gibbs
walked a short distance this aft again, did his business and returned to Monkey.
I took my own walk around the residential block and got my extra steps in that
way. For supper, we had fish and chips and squash (for me). I can skip the
fries easy enough because I love my squash. 😊 We ate early because of a movie starting at 8 pm (6 MT) so
we wanted dishes cleaned up before then.
This has
been another quiet day and what lovely weather! I hope yours has also been a
great day. We had a high temperature today of 78F/26C, just gorgeous! These doves look like they are settled in for the night.
Safe from 4 legged critters too.
Good night!
Thank you
for the visit.
Gibbs appeared to be scared that you would take his monkey away.
ReplyDeleteUsing music is a great way to enhance your timing. Rock and Roll speeds you up, while Classic calms you down.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Gibbs wouldn't drop Monkey if he thought I'd take it. He's very kind. ♥
DeleteSo enjoy seeing the desert landscape. Been some years since we were
ReplyDeletein Quartzsite, lots of changes I’m sure.
Do you have trouble with mice or rats getting in your rig or in BB ?
I know people used to put a light in their pickup motors.
Troubling little critters!
Like that puzzle... hope you solve the mystery!
Linda a.
Thank you Linda a. We haven't had trouble here with the critters. We do put lights on the ground under the Suite's edge so maybe that helps. Back home, that's a different story. They aren't rampant, but we've had mice, baby squirrels and chipmunks get into the underbelly!
DeleteThe puzzle is a hoot!
Very cool puzzle. Glad you are warming up the pool table. Hmmm I wonder where I put MY ear buds?
ReplyDeleteThe puzzle is fun! I just don't know who is here to play pool though.
DeleteYou'll be ready to take on the pool sharks when they return.
ReplyDeleteThose photos of Gibbs with Monkey are priceless, what a cutie!
Ha ha, yah I'm such a good player! not!!
DeleteGibbs was posing for you because you asked. :)
Not knowing what the puzzle is going to look like seems like a nice challenge. Gibbs might treat this Monkey differently, let us know.
ReplyDeleteIt is a different but fun challenge.
DeleteGibbs has been really good to Monkey............until today.
Good for you in getting some practice at pool before the others arrive. Gibbs is such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you Jackie.
