A Quiet Sunday, New Shelter

Park Place RV Park

Another day, another dollar they say. Well, no money today, Sunday, Nov. 9th, but indeed the end (or beginning ?) of another week. To me, Monday is the start of a new week. Bill was up with Gibbs and I didn't get up until 7.

Good morning!

Today is wash day so Bill carried the basket over with me and we loaded the two small loads into the machines before 7:30. He was off to the field on another wonderful day. No winds in the morning so he is enjoying himself.

Laundry chores means I'm
outside to capture these pictures.

I finished the laundry and it was done, dried and folded, by 8:30. I did have time to work on the puzzle for half hour before Angie came in to open the office. I rearranged the hangers in my closet. When the bar came down, I just rehung in no assemblance of order. It's been bugging me!

Gibbs and Lanie
sum each other up

All better now, so Gibbs and I went for a nice walk around the park. He decided he wanted to go into the dog park when he saw a cute little female mixed puppy in there. Both her Mom and I let them off their leashes to see what they'd do.

Two hot puppy dogs

Cute and they got along well, but my little fluffy boy decided shade was better than running in the sun. They ran around a bit and we soon parted ways. Lydia, the Mom, played Pokeno with us last Tuesday and is quite deaf. She had no hearing aids in so conversation was close to impossible. Nice lady.

Both ready to go home

Back home, we waited outside for Bill. Me in my lounger and Gibbs on the shaded gravel. πŸ˜€ Bill got the shelter out of the bag and after helping with the initial set up (the scissor-type frame), I made myself scarce. He prefers to do many things on his own and this is one of them.

It is 10' x 10' and although we knew that, it seemed bigger to both of us. It is quite suitable for our needs, extended shade from the sun and a bit of privacy from the corner lot to our southwest. It came with one side panel, which was one of the selling points for us. Less than $100 and we're happy.

Lunch
Pastrami, cheese, lettuce
on keto bread.
Yum

I came inside and got quilling and he finished staking it down. We had our meat, cheese and lettuce sandwiches for lunch. Now that we have those things in the house, we have options. The sandwich was good!

Bill and Gibbs went upstairs to watch tv aka have a snooze so I could sit at my table and do some paper quilling. Pat sent me a picture of something she thought I could make but I'm not quite 'that' good. Instead, I made part of it and moved ahead with this.

Thanks Pat for the help
from miles away!

She helped me choose what plaques to affix the butterflies to and so she gets some credit too. πŸ’• With one done, I moved ahead to making some Christmas ornaments. It's time, right? Gibbs and I went for a walk around the park and another stop at the little dog park. πŸ˜‰

Nice to see the trees in the
dog park finally getting trimmed.

I put Gibbs inside and I sat outside under the shelter with the book I haven't touched for 2, maybe 3 weeks. I'm really liking the privacy and being able to sit outside, even in this 87F/27C. Bill and Gibbs joined me and while he was still charging plane batteries, he lit the Weber.

Bill got our shelter up,
on the angle we agreed on.
It's perfectly situated.

Sausages on a bun for supper, mine with sauerkraut. I should have skipped the bun, these are not good ones. I may have said that before. Two left and I hope I remember not to buy them again. They fall apart while you're eating. Much of my bun went to the trash.

Nice and peaceful.
Our neighbours have the foil window
coverings so they don't have a visual
even though they appear close.

I watched another episode of Murder in a Small Town while finishing my blog post. I love Chief Alberg and Cassandra. At 7, we will watch the next episode of The Road with Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. It will be an entertaining evening.

Yah, the sausage and sauerkraut
was the only thing good here.

This was a nice day and I'm not rubbing it in, but we're sure glad to be here rather than home. They've had their first skiff of snow at Donna's and quite a dumping at Bridgette's in Woodstock. I'm sure it won't last this time, but that is just too soon!

Not tonight's picture.
This was Nov. 9, 2017
Good night!

Thank you for your own visit.

  3. It's so nice to have some shade and privacy too. I've no neighbours to either side, and while the two units across from me are occupied, the gazebo is tucked in far enough into the space that I don't think they see me at all. Plus my car blocks the view from the road.
I so dislike buns and bread that fall apart. I make a big enough mess on my own. :)

  4. You're dinner rolls always turn out so good and look delicious. Why don't you try to use that recipe and shape them into buns instead. Your buns and Bill's sausages . . . . oh, my!

  5. If you can find it somewhere, try the Hero brand Keto bread. Claims to be 0 carbs. It is the best one I have found, but is hard to find. They usually have it at Safeway. They also have Hero hot dog buns.

    1. I'm okay for bread (so far) and have never seen Hero brand. πŸ˜‰There is a Safeway across from the Walmart so may have to check it out!
I'll keep my eyes open for the hot dog buns, as long as they are big enough for sausage. Thanks!

  6. Love the job you did on the butterfly with the heart card. I think it looks great. Love the colours. And your shelter will give you just the right amount of shade.
You had my mouth watering when you mentioned sausage
with sauerkraut . Thanks for sharing your day. Pat and Bella.

      I like the colours too.
Sausage and sauerkraut just go together, right?
