Park Place RV Park
On Tuesday, Nov. 11th, globally, we are honouring the fallen soldiers. Bill and I wore our poppies today.

Good morning.
Our day started before 7 and things fell into place for the remainder of the day. Bill and Gibbs took their moring drive around the park to check things out. Inside, things were pretty quiet, with a couple of guests paying bills. The morning went quickly and we returned home for lunch.
Back at the clubhouse, Sue walked in with her container of pennies. Ooops! I forgot Pokeno. No one else tuurned up anyway to play so it wasn't to be. I guess it just isn't a game week, hopefully it picks up next week.

Of course, a picture or two of Gibbs
The afternoon also went fairly quickly even though it was not busy7 at all. I did work on the puzzle after making my tea and I managed to pop a fair number of pieces in. 😉 After 4, Bill went over to Jim's to set up tables for their club meeting in the morning.

Watching Daddy
That gave me time to start a hamburger stew for supper. Madame IP will do the best at making the stew and with the least effort on my part. When Bill returned, he took the 2 empty water bottles down to the water kiosk for fill up. $1 for 5 gallons is what we pay here.

It was good and filling.
Supper was ready at 6 and with dinner biscuits to eat with it, it was quite tasty with leftovers fir one night. That is almost the best part! We were ready to watch NCIS:Origins and NCIS at 6 and 7 respectively. It is called Crossover NCIS.

Yesterday, I created this bookmark. There is no meaning to the design, just doodles.
It was interesting and fun to see the characters like Gibbs, the real one. We changed up the dishes and I sat to finish my blog. Bit, do I feel tired. I know I dreamt a lot last night and that probably helps to explain my sleepiness. Today was a good day.
With a lack of pictures, I found this one from Nov. 11, 2019. JoAnn and Patsy ready for New Orleans.
The temperature had dropped back, by a few degrees from yesterday. No surprise, it was in the forecast, but it will be a warmer night than last night. I hope you've had a great day.

Mom never looked prouder 💕💕💕 Good night!
Thank you for popping by and thank you Veterans!

Hamburger stew ... that's a new one on me. I will have to try it. It's early ... maybe more will show up to play games next month.
ReplyDeleteI think you may call it ghoulash...........right, Patti?
DeleteI remember my uncles who fought in WWII and returned home battered, one uncle with tuberculosis, and the other having been gassed in the trenches. The latter also had broken legs having been run over by a jeep. Our family was lucky, they came home. We owe so much to those who were willing to fight for freedom.
ReplyDeleteOur park is quite quiet too, and activities are just starting to happen. We're expecting more folks to arrive next week, and then a larger influx in December. Happy Hour, which is held daily, is well attended though. :)
The only real stories of family that I remember was of my Grandfather who had a metal cigarette case in his upper left pocket. He was shot but had no injuries because that is where the bullet hit. He kept the case to show us. Quite awesome, it just wasn't his time.
DeleteMom was a WAC (womens air corp) but wasn't in long working in the hospital camps. Joined with my aunt, who was in longer and also in the band.
Do you think they used Mark Harmon as Click Bait ? I was hoping to see more of him last night.
ReplyDeleteI make hamburger stew but add my canned tomatoes. Yours looks yummy !
Sue
Absolutely what Bill said. We expected to see more of him too. Still has those blue eyes.
DeleteBill doesn't care for the tomatoes so i don't add them. I love it either way.
Hamburger Stew sound very interesting. It would make a lovely couple of meals for the two of us.
ReplyDeleteI had hoped that Mark Harmon would show up on the newer show as well, but I guess I should be happy he was at the beginning of the older one. Sure was nice to see him.
God bless.
Hamburger was a staple for Mom to make a whole bunch of different things and I guess I enjoy the taste as well as the simplicity.
DeleteI agree, wish Gibbs (MH) had been more of a presence.
