The Ridge
On Sunday, Sept. 21st it was a cleaning day for me. I was up at 6:30 and when I went in to wash, Bill sorted the laundry. He had hopes to go to the flying field today so was checking the forecast and checking with his pilot friends.

Good morning!
I hang the clothes,
Gibbs keeps an eye out for intruders.
I left the Ridge at 7 and stopped at the bank for some cash. I arrived at the Mat by 7:15. Only Dollar Store Dave was there and had his 2 loads in already. The floor was a mess, so we chatted about that and how disgusting people can be. I loaded our 2 machines and started cleaning.
One washer is stained for good, someone put some greasy 'things' in and after 2 washes, one with bleach, it had to be marked as 'extra dirty clothes here' so no one got upset. I left there with our damp clothes and drove to Foodland for bread before heading home.
One more stop at Robin's home to pick up clean floor mats and flowers for the bnb. I was able to give her the bookmark I have been carrying around since I made it. Hadn't seen her since! She loved it and I got teeny puppy dog kisses from Mildred.
I met Bill going to the field at 9 on Baptist Church Road so I came home and sat with Gibbs. Robin messaged that her guests were not checking out until noon so I had no need to rush. I made a coffee around 11:30 and packed some crackers, cheese and pepperoni.

| I finally got it completed. Maybe hard to see all the detail but I'm quite proud of it. |
On my way home, I stopped to see Jamie, remember Jamie? My old Mat boss. He had 2 bottles of maple syrup for me so we chatted and caught up a bit. That's the first I've seen him this summer. Cheryl was in the house but not feeling great so I passed a hello on for her.

Pretending that I would be
displaying items, my upside
down plate rack works with small
installed nails.
I dropped garbage and recycling at Robin's garage and sheets to be washed from today's beds. They'd used almost all the towels so there was no room for sheets to wash and dry properly. Bill was home when I got back at 2:30; he was taking clothes off the line. I've got a keeper! 💖

Our bil, Carol's husband,
has a birthday on Thursday but
I remembered too late.
So, pulled this homemade card out of
my pile and will send it off in the morning.
(it is the manliest card I have!)
He went to the Hangar and I finished my latest hanging. It has taken a while so I will be sure to put a good price on it IF I ever get to sell things. I love it though, very pleased with how it turned out. I also worked on one of the display racks I picked up last week. 👌

The process.
Bill grills.
Gibbs watches closely.
(ummm, that smells good, Daddy)
For supper, Bill barbecued his bacon cheeseburgers and they were delicious. He finished on time as we were cleaning up when the rain started. There was some grumbling out there but not much precipitation. Maybe more overnight, we'll see.

And it tasted good, Daddy, er, I mean Sweetie.
This has been a great day and I made some cash in the meantime. We had a humid breezy day until just before the rain when the winds died right off. We reached 26C/78F feeling like 28C/82F. First day of autumn tomorrow and temperatures drop a bit again.

It had stopped raining by 7:15 and
the night was quiet again.
Good night!
Thank you for your visit.
