Park Place RV Park
On Wednesday, Feb. 19th my intent was to get up and get the Algodones blog finished before 9. Ha ha, who was I kidding? I was up by 7 and had my shower right away. I made my tea to drink while working on it. Before I knew it, Bill had left for the field, it was 8:30 and time to take Gibbs for his walk.
Good morning! It was another lovely day in our Paradise
We
hobbled around, he walked, I hobbled, 😊, and I took my purse, water and a prepped coffee mug over
for Coffee & Snacks. There was a small group this morning, Sue, Bette,
Jess, Mike, Mae and myself. Banana bread was the morning goodie, thanks Bette.
It was worth skipping my cereal for! Jess and I ‘ate and ran’ (not really but
it feels like it sometimes!) and drove to Desert Camel for our 2nd
to last ☹ class.
We like little kids making these owls.
Every step was 'oh! he's so cute!'
I love it so much!
In
attendance, there were 6 of us trying to sit and behave while Jess did her best
to keep us in line and teach us our next shadow box. ♥ Patience is a strong suit for her, sometimes the chatter is louder than
her voice. 😊 It was a late class but we managed
to get out of the crafting area by 12:40. I waited in the truck after signing
up for next week.
Silly Al's never disappoints me
Small meatlovers with cauliflower (gluten-free) crust
Yum!!!
Bill
messaged around 12:50 reminding me of our lunch with Patty and Duncan so he
offered to come get me. At 1:30, we’d planned a goodbye at Silly Al’s. As Patty
said, it was our first meal out together here and our last this winter. Seemed
fitting. I tried a cauliflower crust with my small Meatlover’s pizza and will
do it now, every time! It was delicious and guilt-free! Yum! Thank you Deb D.
for the tip. I don’t have any luck making them for myself.
Goodbye to our friends
until summer
We said
our goodbyes, got the waiter to take our picture and returned home. The rest of
the day was chillin’. If it wasn’t for the sitting, I would feel pretty darn
good all day. However, I wanted to enjoy my book out in the gazebo and of
course my gravity chair is very relaxing. At 4, it was time for Happy Hour so
Bill and I had a drink together before I took Gibbs for his walk.
Relaxing in the gazebo with
my boys
I like this Jack Daniels
with gingerale zero
We’d decided on soup for supper but now that I think of it, we didn’t do that. He had some toast and pb & j and I had 2 of my 4 leftover pieces of pizza. Just enough.
Even for supper, reheated in Rosy,
it was delicious.
We watched episodes of The Voice together and at 9 I moved
upstairs to a more comfortable position and turned the tv off at 10. This was
another hot one, perfect at 77F/25C. We had a great day!
A memory from Feb. 19, 2019
with Rob and Pat visiting
Yuma's Farmer Market, and City Hall.
Another lovely day.
This is the Aeronca Sedan, a plane
Bill is building back home.
The story of the plane is here.
Good night y'all!
Thank you for stopping by.
That pizza does look delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was!
DeleteI'm thinking you may want to see a doctor when you return home, as that leg doesn't seem to be improving much. Do take care!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm thinking the same way. Thank you Maebeme.
DeleteYou had a busy day. It is very cold here. No walking outside this week
ReplyDeleteYup, and no snow or cold weather! :)
DeleteI agree with Maebeme, see a doctor once you get home. The pizza looks yummy by the way.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you, yes, I sure will if this doesn't change.
DeleteThe pizza was delicious!
Yum Silly Al’s 😊. I always have the cauliflower crust, it is so good and guilt free.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try it so now I'm glad I did!
