Park Place RV Park
On Saturday, Feb. 8th it was 7 when I got up again and began my day. I had my tea and took Gibbs for his walk. Bill was packed and ready for the field and left about the same time we did. We walked the normal route, taking me around the small block. Today, it was Yard Sale Day in our park and the sister park behind us.
So, I
dropped Gibbs back home, grabbed my wallet and walked around. There were only 3
sellers in our park and other than a couple of FREE things, I didn’t spend any
$.
Someone is really enjoying the temperature
outside - in the shade. 💗
I walked
back to Arizona Sun RV Park and there were only 6 sales back there. I think the
whole idea of yard sales is getting old, especially this time of the season. I
did find a couple of books at Nancy’s sale (one of the walking ladies), and
some earrings at another. I couldn’t pass up the earrings for $1/pair. I wasn’t
looking for anything in particular so didn’t mind that the offerings were
minimal. 😊
Gibbs poses on the foam mat.
He makes a real cute little Vanna, eh?
One of
the things I found in our park was a set of interlocking foam tiles and snapped
them up for in the gazebo. They are alphabets but they fit right in the centre
and will suffice until (or if) I find a suitable mat to keep the dust down. Gibbs
and I sat outside for the remainder of the morning and Bill returned by 10:30
and joined us on the patio.
The sky was like this throughout the day.
For
lunch, I made bacon and eggs for a change. We have eggs to be eaten and today
was a good opportunity when we were both home at 12 noon. 😊 After we ate and cleaned up, Bill dozed inside and Gibbs and
I enjoyed the fresh air outside and had our own naps. I was so comfortable out
there with the heat of the sun (yet not too hot with the breeze) and NO bugs
whatsoever! That’s the amazing part.
Cute Valentine's earrings
I couldn't resist.All done!
At 1:45,
I went to the puzzle and managed to finish it quickly and returned home at 2:30.
It was a fun one to do and there are a few more by the same company that I look
forward to working on. I harnessed Gibbs up and we went for his afternoon walk.
Well, he really wanted to walk today! Maybe he was pushing his mom to get out
there too. ♥
Down the road he follows his nose.
Out into the desert, 'coming Mom?'Phew! Shade.
Down
Riggles to Quail Trail, crossing into the desert, following the path back
across the back of our park and in through the dog park area. Boy, was he tired
when we got to that large patch of shadow under the storage area. He plopped
and I just had to laugh. It was his walk; he was in charge and it was a good
one.
We
relaxed in our own way until supper, I started another Janet Evanovich book in
the gazebo. This one is the first one in the Stephanie Plum series, One for the
Money. It is neat to read how it all started. 😊 For supper, we had pancakes with Durham maple syrup and
butter. Yum. Mine were keto and I have a couple left for lunch one day.Pancakes for supper.

The sky was lovely today |
We cleaned up dishes and spent an evening watching tv. This has been a wonderful day just hanging around ‘home’. We reached a high of 77F/25C and many agreed that it was perfect. I hope you have enjoyed yours as well.
And the day comes to an end.
Good night!
Thank you
for stopping in.
Sounds like a wonderful day. I just did stuff around here. Relaxed and watched some TV.
ReplyDeleteSounds good too! Relaxing is always good!
DeleteNice sky pics. I love garage sales! Even if I'm just looking and not buying. Cute earrings. We're getting more snow today. I'm really looking forward to spring!
ReplyDeleteThanks sis. Nice to hear from you! I love garage sales too, and I love them with my big sister!
DeleteYou've had WAY too much snow!!!
Love the earrings! I'm laughing at Mr. Gibbs and the shade. At least you didn't have to carry him back! Gosh ... now I'm craving pancakes!!! Or maybe it's just the syrup!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Me too. You would really laugh to have seen the performance. If he could talk, it would be "Thank goodness! Shade!!" Plop!
DeleteI think it is the syrup. ♥
Some really interesting cloud patterns in the middle of your day!
ReplyDeleteYes, there were.
DeleteCute earrings at a great price. On one of those 85 degree days a neighbor was walking his dog. There's very little shade here. That dog saw a small strip of shade from a small palm tree. He plopped himself on the strip and didn't want to move !
ReplyDeleteThank you Elva. That is exactly Gibbs!! They just get so hot in their coats.
DeleteThe sky photos are great. Funny Gibbs, I wonder if he regretted the long walk!
ReplyDeleteThank you Maebeme. Gibbs is a character. The further we walked, I kept telling him that he was going to get hot but he didn't listen. 🤣
DeleteI envy you the lovely temperatures, but I am so looking forward to spring here in Canada. Those are cute earrings.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
You've all been dumped on way too much!
DeleteThank you, should be cute for Valentine's week.
One for the money was the first one I read. It was great! Very amusing. Becky
ReplyDeleteI haven't read them in order at all but it doesn't matter. The author is great at getting you up to date without making it boring even if you've never read them before. I'm happy to see how the relationship started with Morelli. :)
