The Heat is Back, Ladies Games (and a lot of sky pics)

On Monday, Feb. 10^th I let myself stay in bed longer than usual. I figured since I wasn’t doing my early walk, why get up too early? It was 7:20 when Gibbs and I did our stretches, made the bed and came downstairs. Even though it was a cooler night, it got down to 44F/6C, today was looking to be a more summer-like day again. 😊

Good morning!

Bill disconnected us from power, as he does every morning, and left for the flying field around 8, as he does every morning. I had my tea and then Gibbs and I went for his walk. Yup, a nice day was coming our way, I only needed a hoody. At 9:15, I prepped my coffee mug and took my cue over to the clubhouse. The girls were slow in gathering, not late, just slower, and we ended up with 6 playing poker pool.

It was nice that a new attendee, Karen, who is in the park for a month, has joined us for a morning of fun. Fun, we had and we forgave her for walking away with the day’s win. 😊 It’s an allowance we set out for newbies. Our scores were all between 4 and 11 so we should all be proud of how we did.

Back home at noon, I finished the last 3 pancakes from the other night and that means all the leftovers are gone. I think. Bill had his ham, cheese and lettuce sandwich and because that puzzle border was bothering me, I went back to see what I could do with it. Was I surprised when I saw it finished! I think Karen, the new lady, finished it since was looking at it after pool. Yay!

A few things coming together inside the puzzle.

I did work on it for a little over an hour before pushing myself away from the table. The whole thing will be a challenge but I think I will get past the frustration – eventually. I chose it, after all, so can only blame myself! I found Bill and Gibbs outside when I returned. Bill was working on a few little things that have been on his ‘to do list’ since we arrived and today was the day.

Yes, hard to believe that in 2 months we will be just a few days from home. LOL I took Gibbs for his ‘shade’ walk, and then returned to sit in the gazebo with my book and a banana smoothie. It was lovely out there. We reached 75F/24C this afternoon and there is no wind at all. It’s perfect.

We visited the dog park for 10 minutes.
He didn't mind because of the ........... yup, the shade.

For supper, we had the famous burgers and they were very tasty. We’ll watch our NCIS episodes tonight, starting at 7 pm AZ time so by 9 they are out of the way. I will probably read a bit after that and hit the hay when my eyes refuse to stay open. 😊 It’s been a great day.
