Laundry and Gibbs Gets Groomed

Park Place RV Park

On Sunday, Feb. 16th we were up at 6:30 to start sorting dirty clothes. Gibbs was up on the bed, watching, since we wouldn’t let him help. He doesn’t understand the whole colour thing. 😊 Another week of less laundry, the warm weather helps with that. We still loaded 2 machines.

Good morning!

When Bill left for the field, mainly to finish putting away the flags, signs and tape, I kept an eye on my timer as I finished up with the clothes. Then, after a bit of a stretch and rest, Gibbs and I went for our walk. It was around 9:30 by the time I finished up and my leg was finally starting to ease a bit. It’s the numbness that becomes a nuisance so I’m glad it doesn’t last too long.

The day had hardly begun and I'd already
witnessed beauty

We sat outside together, Gibbs and I, and were visited by Irma. Of course, Gibbs had to show her his blankie again. She is very patient with his excitement and he eventually settles down as we chat. She suggested one more easy stretch to add to my list and she left for her walk when Bill returned just before 11. Gibbs had his grooming appointment at 11:30 and we arrived at Animal House with a few minutes to spare. They were busy today!

I brushed Gibbs before we left and removed
a lot of hair!
He loved it.

It was a lovely morning to sit outside

We stopped for Bill’s bread at Roadrunner grocery and he went in to pick what he wanted. At home, we had bacon and eggs, inspired by my conversation with Irma. 😊 We enjoy them but don’t have them very often. I remember the days we started keto and ate them every morning BEFORE work at 7:30!

A hearty lunch

After cleanup, we just hung tight waiting for the call to pick our ‘new’ little boy. He always looks like a different pooch after a cut. With the warmer weather, he will appreciate it. Gibbs heard the truck as we pulled up to the small trailer that is their business venue. We heard him barking immediately. Jennifer does a good job although today we noticed his hair around his mouth was longer than usual. So, I got the scissors out and trimmed it up.

Gibbs is all cleaned up for the heat
It tired him right out.

We sat together for a while, all 3 of us, and around 2:30, I put my book away and walked over to the puzzle. Karen had started one last night so the border was done. She was working out of the box, rather than putting the pieces out on the table. I just can’t do that, such a waste of time, moving pieces around in a box looking for a colour………so, first I emptied the box and turned the pieces over.

The puzzle is certainly easier than the last one.
So far!

At 4, I came home and took Gibbs for a walk. He wasn’t much up for walking, did his business, and then made a decision to return home. 😊 Probably because Daddy was outside working. I made a tea and we enjoyed some time in the gazebo, making tentative plans for our remaining days here in Arizona.

We had a lot of clouds today but it was
still a lovely warm day.

Supper, was sausages on a bun and because we’d run out of propane for the bbq, so I cooked them in Rosy. They were loaded and very good. After supper, we watched about 15 minutes of the SNL 50 year special. That was enough and we turned it off. We never watched the real program years ago so maybe that was the problem. It was stupid and not worth our time tonight.

A filling meal to end the day
Good night!

I switched a movie on and the evening went by quietly. The movie is called The Sun is Also a Star, cute story. (so far) We reached a mild 73F/23C today and the winds were calm. It was a nice change. 😊 I’ve enjoyed this day, I hope you can say the same.

Thank you for the visit.

  2. Gibbs is looking handsome in his new cut. The forecast is looking good for higher temps, and I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
I've just finished a tough puzzle, it took me a couple of weeks. I don't have the room to turn out the pieces on the table, so stick to certain colours/areas first and then work my way through the box.

    1. Thank you, from Gibbs. :)
I don't have the patience to do a puzzle that way but I give you credit for that ability!

  3. You might as well just stay down there, the snow here isn't going to melt until May!

  4. The east is getting lots of snow. We on the other hand could be living in Siberia as far as the temperatures are concerned. Gibs is going to love his haircut.

    God bless.

    1. Yes, they sure are! My family are tired of shoveling! Michael, on the west coast, is preferring the bitter cold.
