Park Place RV Park
On Tuesday, Feb. 11th I was in no rush to get up out of bed – again. What a lazy bones I’m becoming! I was still up before 7:15, did some stretches and came down to join Bill. I made my tea and a had some rice Krispies. Bill left for the flying field after turning power off. I took Gibbs for his walk after I finished playing my online games (most of them) and was more than happy to return. Darn leg!
We laid
on the bed and I remembered to brush him today. I’ve had the ‘tools’ out for a
few days. He likes to be brushed and it is easiest for us to do it where he can
stretch out. Don’t dilly dally on his ears or his paws though, those are areas
you need to be quick about. He likes to hold one of the brushes in his mouth
while I work and that makes it easy for me too. He keeps his nose out of the
way. š
As long as it feels good, Gibbs is al for a brushing.
But, you can see that he has a brush too, so he feels
in charge. š

It's a cuddle moment too, which we both enjoy. I don't think he'll miss this bundle of hair. |
I
promised him a treat when we were done and I gave him the BIG milk bone from
the big tent. He enjoyed that and deserved it for being a good boy. We’ve got
about 3 cooler days here before the weekend so I’m just as happy he still has
his long coat. Sunday, he will feel much different just in time for the weather
to warm up.
The diesel price at this Shell (still in AZ)
was a few cents better than Arco.
Bill was
home at 10:30 and we hopped in Black Beauty to take a run to Blythe Auto Zone.
The battery on our generator died so rather than Bill having to use the pull
start, which can be a chore, we went to get a new one. While there, we popped
into Albertson’s (grocery) for a few items we were getting low of. Sometimes
the deals there are great but on regular items I still find Walmart to be the
best prices.
Crosing the pretty Colorado River
We did
get a couple of awesome deals today before returning home for lunch. We picked
up a fresh loaf of French bread so that was what our sandwiches were made out
of. Yum. Bill wanted to replace the battery in the genny when he finished
charging his plane batteries so I took my pennies and some goodies over to play
Pokeno at 1.
The drive is so pretty through the mountains.
No one, other than Angie and I, showed up to play so I just stayed and worked on the puzzle. It is slowly coming together, piece by piece. Just like it is supposed to! At 2:30, I brought the untouched goodies and my pennies back home.

You should be able to see some animals now |
I was doing some paper quilling on a couple of cards this morning so worked on that a bit more and then took Mr. Gibbs for his walk. Er, you know I mean the other way around. I’m very grateful for him, even now with my gimpy leg. He has needs and it is our responsibility to see to those.

Nancy is right, this little bum really trots along! |
He took me down to E. Quail Trail Rd. to the cut of behind our park. Thankfully, he cut back through the park, giving Mom a good leg stretch. Back home, I made a cup of tea and finished up the cards I was working on. Bill was trying to read but kept dropping off to sleep so gave up. š While he and Gibbs dozed, I started my blog for the day, catching up on a few others to see what friends are up to.
For
supper, Bill grilled pork chops and I prepared some mashed potatoes and our
vegetable to go along with them. Everything turned out perfectly and we were
done eating by 6. After clean up, we killed time until the new Doc episode came
on at 7 pm. This has been a pretty nice day, with a pleasant high of 70F/21C
and a low tonight of 44F/7C.
There is the Full Moon/Snow Moon There is the sunset aftermath
There has
been plenty of sunshine today and the winds peaked around 4 pm at 18mph. We didn’t
really even notice! The mountains are a bit obscurred
I assume from dust in the distance.
Looks like a painting.
