Back in the Office - Deja Vu

Park Place RV Park

On Wednesday, Nov. 5th Bill and I were ready for our new adventure. Yes, it is a job but we are both up for it. He was up at 6 with Gibbs and it was closer to 7 when I got up. Bill was in the shower so I did my stretches, made the bed and waited until he was done.

Good morning!
This was my first picture.
A local motorcycle club was delivering the
boxes for the Christmas Toy Drive

Gibbs was in a playful mood so we rolled around on the bed while we waited. 💗 He makes me giggle, every single day. After a bite to eat, we left Gibbs in charge at 8:45 and walked over to the clubhouse, letting ourselves in the ramp/side door.

The office opens at 9 so we set to work cleaning the back rooms. Bill did the floors while I did a familiar job of wiping down the laundry machines, the bathroom and shower. Sue was quite impressed when she opened up at 9. "Oh, I love you guys!"

Bill returns after his first trailer
parking and Gibbs is so excited
to see him.
💕

Wednesday morning at 9, we meet other rv'ers for Coffee and Conversation, so it was nice to meet Sally, Ken and to reacquaint with Mike and Mae. After a bite of Sue's coffee cake, Bill and Fred went outside and Sue and I settled in the office.

She started with the basics and then we got into the business of accepting payment for electric bills and site rentals. The online program they are using seems easy enough but there are a lot of things to remember. I'm sure there was smoke coming out of my ears.

We made it through the morning and broke for lunch. Gibbs was a good boy and after we ate, went out for a walkabout. The afternoon was much the same but quieter for the boys until at 4:30, 2 expected guests arrived.

Looking after the Suite
is a big job too!

Bill hopped in the golf cart and helped a highway tractor park a 5th wheel with a Jeep on a trailer. He said it was a tight fit, parking on an angle, but he came back with a smile. Fred parked the smaller 5th wheel at the same time. Things happen all at once!

Sue relieved me to go get Gibbs, while she stayed behind to lock up, and Gibbs and I met Bill as he came back. It was a few minutes before 5 when we came inside the Suite. I had already planned supper, so popped the small ham in Madame IP, prepared potatoes and mixed vegetables.

If I'd remembered to look again,
my 'after' sunset picture would
have been more intriguing.

Bill put a movie on while the ham reheated and when all was ready, we watched Survivor (at 6) while we ate. The time difference between here and home has us hopping, trying to keep up with our regular shows. Needless to say, there were only a few pictures taken today.

Supper was very tasty.

Tomorrow is Day 2 for training and I'm sure each day, things will fall into place a little bit more. This has been a good day. Still hot, hot, hot but the nights are cool enough for open windows and relaxing sleeps. Last night, I slept really well!

So, I borrowed this picture
from Nov. 5th, 2016
Good night!

Thank you for your visit!

  3. My daughter says "practice makes proficiency". I'd be willing to bet that within a week you'll have no issues remembering what to do.
Thursdays are our morning coffees with donuts/pastries, coffee and an update on the park happenings. I'm signed up to do the set-up in two weeks so I'd best pay attention today!

  5. Part time job for the winter sounds fun/interesting! The bug you took a pic of is a boxelder bug. I get a few on my patio - not in the house! RAID Ant & Roach spray will kill them.
