Park Place RV Park
On Sunday, Nov. 16th we are past the Ides of the month. We've been here 16, well 17, days and surprisingly I can say that the days are going by slowly. I'm sure that will change as we advance into December, always a busy month.

Good morning! West view on the left. East side on the right.
Today, after yesterday's rain, we woke up to cooler temperatures. That was expected and quite honestly, everyone was ready for the break. Bill and I will not be those who need to don long pants and hoodies too soon though. This feels quite refreshing after the 90F/30C.

The clouds caught me on my way to the laundry room.
Bill carried the basket of dirty laundry over for me just after 6:30 and we started the 2 loads. When we came back, I had a cut up banana with cream for breakfast and gave Gibbs his teaspoon of the newer container of 3.25% fat yogourt. He seemed to agree that this 'was' better.

The west sky is lovely and I'm not referring to the clouds.
I still don't like it and will definitely have to find some way to use it up. Low fat just makes me cringe, it's so thin/runny. Anyway, Bill left for the field and in due time, I walked over to switch loads. I also did a 3rd load of sheets and our dining chair covers.

Once I started snapping pictures, it was hard to stop.

The puzzle looked like this when I left this morning.
After the 2 loads were dry, I folded them and sat and worked on the puzzle for an hour before coming back home. I made great progress. I like the picture of this one but I think it will get harder as I go. So many of the same colours. I brought the grounding sheet home, almost dry, and hung it under our shelter to finish.

My chicken hearts, cukes and green peppers made a nice little lunch.
Time for a shower! When I came out, my hair was wet and begging me for a trim. I'd told Bill that I would be trimming it over the coming week but now was the perfect time. Soon, it will all be one length again. When Bill got home around 10:30, I was just getting out of the shower.

Gibbs hopped up there beside Daddy and did his little 'gentleman' squat.
I had decided that I wanted to take Lila out for a spin. I was concerned about whether it would aggravate my sciatica but I needed to know. I didn't go far, on the paved road around the mid block, to Arizona Sun RV Park and back home down Quail Trail. Let me tell you, I was dying! My legs were so wonky, weak and shaky when I finished.

My white shoes came out of the wash looking brand new.
It discourages me that I may not be able to ride her after all but will not judge that until I try a couple more times. It just wasn't enjoyable, maybe because I'm wondering what the after effect may be, or maybe because I'd just rather walk. We'll see in a day or two.

I finished this little wall hanging.
I sat at my table and finished a wood plaque that I'd started a while ago. At least I know quilling is something that I can do and not hurt myself! 😂 We had lunch, more chicken hearts, peppers and cucumber with a slice of lovely fresh keto bread.

My hair is almost one length now, after the trim.
The winds are up today, so we're keeping an eye on the gazebo. Bill has it secured quite well but still better to be aware. I brought the dried sheet in from under the shelter and remade the bed before going over to work on the puzzle.

The wind was a little gusty today, but nothing like what we've had on the Ridge.
I made a tea in the clubhouse and at 4:30 after they closed up, I returned home. Bill and Gibbs weren't home and that surprised me. I usually take the little guy out around 4 so Bill thought he would do it instead.

In that hour, I got a few more pieces in.
He met up with a park guest and his dog, Tucker, in the dog park so they spent a few minutes together. 😉 Gibbs was more interested in sitting with Joe than he was in playing with Tucker, he is totally a people puppy!

Looking east again
Supper was air fried shrimp with rice and vegetables. My rice was the keto brand and it tasted great with the mixed veggies.

Supper was good! (like a Sunday night dinner 😂)
We had Jello for dessert and I even tried it with some of the 'low fat' yogourt. It wasn't terrible that way. 💁

Peeking out our window at the night
We cleaned up, watched a movie and The Road when it came on. It was a cooler day, 70F/19C, quite a change. We didn't mind at all. I hope you enjoyed your Sunday!

Good night!
Thank you for stopping in.

Yogurt can be used in soups, pancakes, muffins ... any bread. The taste ... that's why I don't buy it!! lol
ReplyDeleteYou would love the taste of the yogurt I get in Canada. It is thick and creamy and delicious even without flavoring.
DeleteIf it is plain yogurt, I know you can use it with sour cream. That would cover any taste you don't care for. I do agree with Nancy, use it in your baking, unless you decide to toss it out.
ReplyDeleteThe cooler temperature was nice yesterday, though I didn't get as much outdoor time as I would have liked.
I suspect your leg muscles are just not accustomed to the bike riding yet. You'll get there, I'm sure!
Thank you for the suggestion. I hate throwing anything out.
DeleteYou could make flat breads with it, or as others say use it in baking or in place of sour cream.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I'll have to find a recipe that calls for it.
DeleteThank you.
Yogurt is only good for one thing….oh wait
ReplyDeletemaybe its not!!! lol
Haha you are incredibly helpful Lorne!
