Park Place RV Park
On Monday, Mar. 23rd (geesh, I have to give my head a shake each time I write the date) I woke from another great sleep. I'm not sure if I woke once through the night. I was up and mobile by 7 ish, and downstairs to find Bill finishing his cereal.
I made a tea and he left soon after. He had plans to go to the field and then to Jim's Hangar to help the guys bring planes etc. down from storage in the mezzanine. They help Jim, who is 93, each fall and spring with this task. He has so much airplane stuff available to the guys and a work table that they like to give him a hand.

That flag is not moving at all.
Not many clouds to help cool things
down either.
Gibbs and I went for our walk, shortened again by the early onset of heat. We were both happy to get back inside where the a/c was already running in an attempt to keep the Suite cool. Yah, right. πAt 9:20, I walked over to play one of my last (sob, sob) games of Poker Pool with the ladies.
There were only 5 of us today, we missed Stephanie, but I came really, really close to being the winner. I'll have to settle with last week's 1st place ribbon, I guess, the win I shared with Linda. π I have one more game next Monday.

I made an effort for lunch
and we had a yummy omelette.
Back home, I made omelettes for our lunch and they were delicious and filling. We both find our appetites in this heat are not up to par so our meals have been lacking in creativity AND not falling under the 'recommended' factor. Oh well, lunch was a good one!
Bill and Gibbs had snoozes, too hot to be outside and that's where things need to be done. I did see him, from the clubhouse window, putting our string of lights from under the rv away. My job will continue to be inside stuff which won't take long. I'll get at that one day this week.

What do you see?
I see 3 lug nuts in our home.
(teehee)
The remainder of the afternoon was probably laziest than we've ever been here! It was even hot inside. The a/c was not cooling us more than about 8 degrees below the outside temperature but we didn't want to leave Gibbs here to go to the cooler clubhouse.

I was very hot but when this little guy curls
up beside/on me, it's hard to say no.
He was sound asleep.
π
We both played a lot of games online - Bill played Solitaire and I played Rumnikub until my free coins ran out. That whole game things gets old and makes us sleepy. Something I don't want to do, is nap again in the late afternoon so I got out of my recliner and prepared coleslaw for supper.

When I moved, so did he.
The floor is much cooler than
my lap - for all of us.
Fish and chips is on the menu tonight. Bill will have fries but I'll just have the fish with salad tonight. Again, not much of an appetite these days. I'm not exerting myself enough to make myself hungry, I guess! This fit the bill for our meal.
After supper, we found some tv to watch together. Not one of us wants to be up in the bedroom in that oven. Last night, Bill found one of my very favourite movies - if not my fav. PS I Love You with Gerard Butler and Hillary Swank. I laugh every time and haven't seen it for a long time. It was fun again.

Supper was very good. I even got one fry from Bill. Fried in peanut oil - oh my! I may have to start eating them again!
Although the only excitement was poker pool, I had a good day. Hopefully, this heat lets up a bit more tomorrow. Today was only down by 1 or 2 degrees from yesterday, LOL. At least our nights are cooler and make sleeping possible. π
Just throwing in some memory photos - because I can! This was a vacation we took before we retired.
I hope your day was a good one and your week on the right track. If you are one or two of the many who are en route, traveling to a destination called 'home', be safe and make wise choices.
This memory speaks for itself - almost. March 21st, 2017 Our first visit to this wonder of the world. Good night!
Thank you for popping by to see what we're up to!

I hope it cools off for you so as to be able to sleep.
