A Clean Suite, A Clean Blacksmith Shop

 The Ridge

On Monday, July 14th I was up long enough to say goodbye to Bill at 6:30 and tell him that I would get the garbage ready and out to the road. He forgot so I wanted to let him carry on with his day since I was free most of the morning.

Good morning!
Last night's beautiful sunset

Robin messaged around 9 that her bnb guests won't be checking out until 11:30. Not a big deal for me as I had a Suite to clean this morning. I vacuumed and washed the floors, which doesn't take too long, but it was time.

Gee, can you tell I filled the bird feeders?

When I received an email from Photobooks with a preliminary discount offer, I ordered my blank book and set to work pulling pictures into a folder for the winter of 24/25. I have 3 months to take advantage of the deal, and it is a pretty big savings.

I couldn't figure what all the noise was down
at the road, so I walked to check it out.
They are putting fibre optics in now
out in the country.
Below is a video

I got to Williamsford at noon and worked away until 1:30. When all was finished, I drove into the general store and picked up some kitchen garbage bags because there were none left at the house. It didn't take any longer than 20 minutes to go back and put one in place.

Lunch

I stopped to drop garbage at Robin's and watered a couple of in-need plants.

When I got home, it was almost 3 so that was a longer day than I expected.

Up on the Ridge ♪♪

I worked on the pictures for the remainder of the afternoon while I had my tea and Gibbs and I stayed indoors.

An ancient building in Williamsford
and rushing water as I walked by.

This humidity is not pleasant, so I'm being wimpy.  We reached a high again of 27C/81F. Bill was home at 5 and at 6 he grilled a steak for supper. We had Van Camp original brown beans and potato salad along with and it was all very good.

Gibbs and I 'hammocked' while Bill
snoozed inside. It was quite lovely.

He made his lunch and has gone out to cut the back field of grass. It has cooled down somewhat since just before supper but the wind that had picked up around 5:30 has once more died off.

Supper was quite good.

The bedroom gets quite warm because when the a/c is on down here, we close the door to keep it cool down here. I may have to switch that tonight.

Gibbs and I walked down to retrive the
empty recycle bins.
The township was very late picking it up today.
But the sky pictures made it worth the wait.
Good night!

This has been a good day. I did have to use rain water from our buckets to water my flowers and vegetables. They were looking sad and I didn't have the energy to use the hand pump!

Thank you for popping around.
