The Ridge
On Saturday, July 5th I was up before 7, sorting laundry and on my way into Durham to clean. Bill wasn't too long after me, hooking up his trailer and on his way to the field.
It was another hot day on the horizon and although there was chatter about rain, I was planning on hanging clothes. I picked up a Purolator pkg for Robin at the Co-op in town, stopped at a couple of garage sales and I was doing just that. Hanging laundry.

Someone isn't always a big help.
This is a hint for a tummy rub.

This is what "no, I'm busy" looks like. When he tried it again. 💗

The usual back road drive. Quiet and pretty.
I texted her as I needed to clarify so this old brain didn't do that again!

But I got a sneak peak at the new shed.
This family is there for a week and enjoying
the games Robin leaves for them.
I had leftover quesadilla for lunch and Bill arrived soon after. We needed water for the Suite so after he ate a sandwich, we drove to the Acreage.

Look at me!! So excited to get in, but so anxious on the drive. 😞
It was after 3 when the bladder was empty and we hopped on Jazz. This ride took us to 6 Cycles, a bike dealer in Varney.

We were happy to have this shop recommended to us. The owner is young and seems very helpful.
We are still hoping to get the fuel gauge sensor replaced and this fellow seemed very positive, taking Bill's info for a call back with some information. From there, I got my second meal out when Bill took me to Jenny G's. 💗

We made it!
Best food truck we know!
I was so hot on the bike ride in my leather jacket that I took it off after we left with full tummies. It was a short 20 minutes back home and it felt wonderful! I'd eaten 1 piece of fish and battered onion rings. They were delicious!

They had a bit of winter snow damage
but still up and running.
Yay!
Mike was here when we returned and Bill hopped on the mower to cut the back field. When Mike finished his supper, we sat out with Gibbs until Bill finished cutting for the night. Such a lovely evening.
It was quiet and very relaxing as Gibbs and I swung in the hammock but by 8:30, the bugs were biting so we all went inside our trailers. None of us had any desire for a campfire tonight, it was too warm.
I read some of my book but by 9:30 Bill was dozing in his chair and I went up to bed because my own eyes were drooping. It was a great day. We reached a high of 30C/87F this afternoon with very little wind. One extreme to the next in this place called Ontario!
