The Ridge
On Wednesday, July 30th I remained where I was, under the comfortable sheet, with a hint of fresh air coming in my window. It was 7:15 when I shook off the sleepies and got up. I gave myself a reprieve since it was 11:30 last night when I went to bed!

Good morning! Most of my Dahlias are fuschia. I love these bright red ones at the road.
I had no where to be and nothing to do today but ....well, nothing! That is quite a nice feeling but I know I couldn't do that day after day. After my tea, I went outside with Gibbs and Bill made the decision to hop on Jazz and go into the hardware store.

I had a package in the mail from yesterday. My homemade bug sprays arrived. Never to late, right? They love me this summer!
He has a few small jobs to do around the Suite while he is off and needed a couple of supplies to help with that. While he was gone, I put things away from yesterday's party.
The hammock went back to the spot it was in, the table went back into the Bunky and I hung the tablecloth on the line. Morning dew had it quite damp. It wasn't a lot but the yard looked normal again. 😃

My miniature roses are blooming again.
The morning disappeared in a blink so we had lunch together. Back to my youth, I had a mayo, peanut butter and leaf lettuce on my bread. Oh, it was so good!

Coneflower/Echinacea so pretty
It was a hot morning and we all, Ken and Kim included, tried to decide whether it was an a/c day but held off when early afternoon brought some wind to cool things off. I went out to the Bunky while Bill worked on his few jobs.

They are so pretty.
It was time to move my quilling supplies out there and that was all thanks to my clean up the other day. 😄 Owls, they are what I fall back on, when it isn't flowers, so I made another one, just for fun. At 2:30, it was time to get ready for Happy Hour.

As I said on Facebook, sometimes you just need to sleep on someone you love. In this case, Tigger's legs.
As usual, conversation flowed easily as we sat in the shade by the firepit and so did the laughter. Soon enough it got quite cool and I had to put some warm clothes on! After yesterday, that's crazy! At 6, we parted ways and had our supper.

Gibbs was in and out of the Bunky the whole time I was in there. The rest of the time, he was out in the heat, watching his Daddy.

It was cool in there.

Fun as usual
After clean up, I tried to work on my blog while watching more episodes of Bones. That's two things that are hard to do together.

Supper was good. Good night.
This was a good day, by 4:30 we dropped from 26C/78F to a chilly 18C/66F. Trust me, it felt quite cold out there. I hope your hump day was good too.

We celebrated Rob's birthday yesterday, a few days early, this picture popped up as a memory. This was 2017. Good night!
Thank you for stopping by.

Oh yes, nice to see the pops of red in the yard! Wonderful to see Pat and Rob - nice people!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of Rob, he is truly missed.
DeleteMayo, peanut butter and lettuce? I'm beginning to wonder about you!! LOL. Your flowers are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? But do remember who has tomatoes for breakfast! haha
DeleteMy son used to eat peanut butter with Cheese Whiz, so I guess mayo and peanut butter wouldn't be too far off. :)
ReplyDeleteHaving the bunky and the hangar for both of your hobbies is such a great idea.
I never used to add the mayo but it adds a nice flavour. Strange tastes, I know.
DeleteI have space to spread out in the Bunky so I can leave stuff out rather than pack it up when I'm done.
We had smoke from the fires yesterday so going out was a bit difficult when all you could smell was smoke. I did get out today an get some produce in from the garden. I managed to pick 3 kohlrabi, 3 eggplant, a handful of jalapeno peppers, 2 green peppers, and a few cherry tomatoes. The flowers are lovely. I eat Cheese Whiz and pickles, and our eldest son will make salmon salad and have that on toast with Cheese Whiz.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Our sky was hazy but no smell came with it. Your garden is really producing! Awesome!
DeleteThat is a good picture of Pat and Rob. I always enjoyed your trip south with them and when they would come to the campouts at the ridge. Glad you had a good visit yesterday. Becky
ReplyDeleteIt is a good picture. Rob loved his sweets and always teased me about what I would make next. He gifted me a couple of rolling pins over the years as a hint. ♥
