The Ridge
On Monday, July 7th we were both up for work before 7. Bill left at 6:30 and I left at 7. It was a cooler night and we had some nice rain throughout the evening and then again overnight. That's because I hand pumped and watered my vegetables.

Good morning!
Well, dull, wet, foggy morning.
It was quite foggy for the drive into town and it was rainy enough to keep the wipers on intermittent. Robin asked me to stop at her place and set some bins out for pick up by a buyer and to water her outdoor plants. I didn't need to water, obviously but got caught in the rain with 2 trips of totes. haha
I was in and out of the Mat within the hour and straight home. Being it was wet and about 15 degrees cooler (thank heavens) than the previous few days it was called an 'inside' day. That meant I could work on Robin's next little bnb design. 😀

The fog didn't disappear too quickly either.
Still bad on the way home an
hour later.
I set up on the table and soon spread containers out to the island. Today was the Saskatchewan project and I was anxious to see how it would turn out. I took a break for lunch, an egg salad sandwich on my seeded Carbonaut bread and it was yummy.
I just finished my project before Bill drove up the lane at 5, so that's at least 4 hours that I put into it. I'm quite pleased with the few Sask. items I got on it but I hope it isn't too much.
Bill rested for about 15 minutes and then grilled the t-bone that I thawed for Friday night. It had to be eaten, rain or shine. We had roasted/bbq'd little potatoes and caesar salad along with it. What a delicious meal!
After clean up, he made a lunch and I finished my blog. It has been dull all day, no sun and light rain most of the day as well. That's okay, it was a great day! Regarding my sister, she is awesome! Thank you to everyone voicing concerns. 💕

| Regardless of weather, this little lady and her partner visit every single day and often. I have to keep it full. |
Got news after supper last night from the surgeon that she did NOT have a mini stroke as first suspected. This news means that with some physio for a couple of days, ???, she should be able to go home. You can imagine her glee at that!
In another comment, a reader asked what a concession was. Valid question so here is my answer: A concession is how the country side is divided up aka side roads or county roads. The distance between them is 1 1/4 miles.

I think the rain has stopped but it
was spitting while Bill bbq'd so he had the
awning out.
I hope that clarifies, different name probably than what he knows them as. 😄 Bill and I live on Northline but it is also called Concession 2. My sister, on the Acreage, is on Concession 6. There is no 3, 5, etc.

| Just a nice picture from July 7, 2020 going down our Northline (Concession 2) 😉 Good night everyone! |
Thank you for popping by. A warmer and drier day tomorrow.

Good to hear your sister didn't have a stroke. A blessing for her and the family !

DeleteGreat news for your sister! Your foggy day looks wonderful to me - - HOT and SUNNY here :(
ReplyDeleteWinter is coming!! :) If I didn't have a Dr. app't every Tues. I'd be on a "road trip" !!
Thank you it is great news. Ha ha, you are looking forward to winter already. I understand that though.
DeleteWonderful news for your sister!
ReplyDeleteWe're getting the heat today after a cool night. We could certainly use some rain and my watering doesn't seem to bring it on.
Thank you Maebeme, Cathy is happy for sure.
DeleteHmm, seems everytime I make the effort to water, it rains.
How wonderful for your sister. Like Maebeme we are getting warmer weather once again, but it is to cool off once again for the weekend. In fact we could get a bit more rain.
ReplyDeleteI never knew we had a lighthouse. Must do some research on that.
God bless.
Thank you Jackie. Hope you both get some rain, makes life easier for those with gardens.
DeleteYes, Cochin, it is an old one and the only one. I needed something to fill in the spaces so googled it.
