The Ridge
On Wednesday, Sept. 24th we woke up to a cloudy morning. Bill was up early and had his shower, getting ready for work. The weather is iffy but since he hadn't heard from Billy, he said goodbye and left around 7.

Good morning! Gibbs is watching Daddy leave. Same pose that we love.
I had my tea but was uncomfortable for a couple of hours this morning. Hmpf. I did numerous stretches, blocking and what seemed like rolling around on the floor. Ha ha, quite a sight but I wanted to feel good for 10 o'clock.

Sitting at a construction zone Stop, I noticed this on an upper building. Love it!
Dot arrived on the 'dot' in her nice white Ford (of course) truck to pick me up. We drove to Durham and got the 3rd Musketeer, Pat, who was waiting outside for us. Today, we went to Mount Forest for some thrift shopping and lunch.

This interesting moth was sitting outside the thrift store. I had to use Google lens to find out that it was a Maple spanworm moth.
We don't want to have to drive too far but there HAS to be a thrift store and a restaurant. 😍 I'd never shopped in Mount Forest so this was a treat. It wasn't until we crossed the street to their dollar store that I spent money. Craft stuff!
Lunch time! It doesn't look like much from the outside but quite a bustling place indoors.
It was around 12:30 when we came out and drove down the street to the Tipsy Fox for lunch. We were dodging some rain each time we were in and out of stores but no downpours at least. Lunch was awesome, quick and reasonable.

A good lunch for $17
Dot couldn't say enough about her Chicken Parmesan, Pat had Chicken Club w/fries and I had Shepherd's Pie with fries. So much food that we each brought half of it home. Then.........Dot said we had to have dessert for my birthday. Oh my, yummy!

A birthday treat for dessert. Carrot cake with something else but it was yummy! 3 forks so we shared!
We stopped at the Liquidation store on the way out of town and didn't spend a lot of time there before Dot and I found a few things to bring home with us. I'm pleased that I only bought 2 pieces of clothing today, the rest was hobby related. That's good for me! 😊

We pulled up to 6 Cycles and all these bikes were outside in the rain but Jazz was clean and dry inside.
Bill was waiting for me when Dot dropped me off as he had word that Jazz was ready to come home. In light rain, we drove to Varney to pick her up. Sherry had her all cleaned up, my she sparkled, only to get wet on the ride home. Bill was dry in his rain suit. Now our fuel gauge works again. Yay!

I followed Bill on the way home and thankfully the rain wasn't too heavy.
The rain was on and off all day, so he had returned from work by 10 am. He helped Robin and Andrew get some wood for their wood stove, using Black Beauty and their dump trailer. Helping each other, the way it should be.

Baptist Church Rd. is changing colour but in the rain, hard to tell.
It has been a great day and the best news is that all my stretching this morning had me feeling great by the time we picked Pat up at 10:15. 💗 We hope to get out once more, the week before we leave. Fingers crossed that works out! 🤞

A little play time before supper. Bill made fries, I had a tea biscuit and hot chocolate.
Today was mild, a high of 18C/65F but no wind so it felt quite warm. I hope you enjoyed your day.
Thank you for the visit and all the wonderful birthday wishes.
