Something About a Lazy Day

The Ridge

On Thursday, Sept. 4th Bill was up at his normal time, 6 am, getting ready for work. I woke up at 5:15 but didn't drop back off to sleep until after using the facilities. Bill got the text that there was no work today and I, thankfully, was able to drop off until 7:40. He stretched out in his recliner and did the same.

Good morning!
Someone decided that today was a
day to sit with Daddy. 💖

It was a damp morning, after raining off and on most of the night. It wasn't until 7 when it quit for the day. A cool day but it eventually warmed up to 16C/60F and the sun made appearances. Since Bill was home, he relieved me of my duty to take Ptooties to Hanover for an oil change. 😀 Yay!

He gets a laugh when he does this
but you may as well close the laptop,
nothing will get done.

The rest of the day was pretty normal. I did some quilling, we had lunch, I did more quilling, I re-packed my suitcase for next week and did some more quilling. Gibbs ran around outside like a little fool, it must feel good in his 'new hair-less coat'.

Not many pictures today.
Can you tell?

We had supper around 6, turkey pot pies and a drumstick for dessert. Not much to write about, I never even changed out of my sweat pants!

I also went through my 4 paint
containers to downsize what I'll take south.
Pat will store what I don't take so it won't
freeze. Thank you Buddy!
I don't want to take nothing, just in case.

I did manage to get all my ducks in a row for Ladyfest, seems I was the 'event co-ordinator' this year. Ha ha and I almost blew it, booking a couple of things for the same day! Good grief!

Today's creation, using a
Dollarama backing.
I also purged a lot of pictures I have
on my laptop and moved some to my
external hard drive.
A small, yet time-consuming project
that I don't do often enough.

This was a good day and it will be a quiet evening. It's the end of the week already, so hard to believe how time is flying by.

The pot pies were really good for
a change. I picked Bill up a couple for
this coming week.

I hope you've had a good day. By the way, Happy 59th Anniversary to our friends, Doug and Dolly!

Happy Anniversary!
Good night!

Thank you for popping in.

    1. Same here, talking to you both was very nice. The game? Well, I can't get past Wilson's house and have yet to learn how to collect things. I might be beyond help! haha
Thank you Jess, having fun with the quilling and the eyes!!

  2. Your owl is cute!
Hopefully the weather improves for your Ladyfest. It's very cool here, potential frost the next two nights, but is supposed to warm up by Sunday. Fingers crossed.
