Wintergreen Resort, Blue Mountains
On Thursday, Sept. 11th I woke up at 7:50 when I heard my phone beep with Bill's message. If you think I slept in.........well, yes, but after going to bed at 11, I lay awake until 3 am! Not 100% sure why but I did have a cup of tea with our late (7 pm) supper. That is possibly the culprit.

Good morning!
So, today we had no commitment until 12:45 so we just enjoyed the morning hours until 11ish. We drove back to Collingwood and chose the EggSmart cafe for breakfast again. My choice this time was a Meat Lovers Scrambler and it didn't get a 'wow' but it was satisfactory.
From there, we drove to the Side Launch Brewing Co. to catch the Huronic charter for an hour and a half sightseeing tour of Georgian Bay.

What a great day to be ON the water. There were 13 of us on the ride, no bad luck there, and it was very enjoyable.

We were back at 2:30 and drove 10 minutes to the small town of Thornbury. We wandered into a 'yard' sale and we all bought something small and left as happy shoppers. One more stop in a downtown shop called Mimosas and we were advised of a thrift store called BVO. (Beaver Valley Org.)

Gayle and I enjoyed the top deck and met a photographer who obliged us with a photo.

Audrey slipped down to the bow for a picture.
We enjoyed it, even though it is a cramped store and bumped into a good friend by surprise. Michele was shopping with her sister so that was fun and very coincidental.

It was a casual ride so I took the helm for a bit. (not really but it looks good!)

Just a few more pictures. This is Doug with his grandson. The following are his photos.

His lighthouse pictures are wonderful! Yes, that is the Blue Mountains trails behind it.

The end of our ride
Again, we all purchased something and then drove across the bridge again to The Mill. It was a recommended dining experience. 😉

A fun yard sale and thrift shop. The little book library provided me with a new book while I waited for the girls.
I thought of my sweetie and ordered the Mill Burger with homemade fries. Oh my, they were delicious, competition for our home burgers. We hugged, snapped a selfie with Wendy and everyone headed home.

With a soft bun, it was messy but she provided me with a sharp knife. I skipped the greens, not my fav, and the meal was delicious!
After we got a bit of packing done, we played a couple of games of Euchre. Audrey and I won both and had bragging rights once more. I was hoping for a good night's sleep so finished my blog and went upstairs to read a bit and chit chat with Bill.

A photo with our little sister
This was a great day. Also, my youngest, Patrick, celebrated his 36th birthday today so I chatted with him as well. We reached pleasant high of 20C/69F with a mixture of clouds and sun. Quite perfect!

The above are a few photos from the last couple of days. The last one, I couldn't reach the cherry in my drink with a paper straw! Good night!

ReplyDeleteLots of great memories made with your siblings! Im envious- I just learned my sister had moved some time ago. My younger brother R had touched base and she shared the news. She doesn't speak to me or our older brother and rarely R.
The boat ride was very relaxing. The water so peaceful.
