Park Place RV Park
Some may say TGIF, however on Friday, Nov. 21st it was just another day for us. Well, you know, retirement is like that......even semi-retirement when you are in the warm desert of Arizona. However, I DO vividly remember the excitement of a Friday.

| Good morning! How true this is. |
We woke to the threat of rain again, but Bill and I both agreed that we each slept well. I first woke at 4:30 but was back off to sleep immediately. I was gung ho for the short walk with Diane and Sue but waiting until it was time to leave, made me second guess.
I made my tea at 7:45 and that's when I saw Diane walk by. Sue didn't go either, woops! 😁 By then, it was raining so it was just as well we didn't get out there. It didn't stop, for the most part, all day. It was pretty quiet around here, one check out and that was it.

Lunch, beans on toast.
It filled my grumbling tummy.
I took my crocheting over to the clubhouse, since I had to be there anyway, and after a 'rippit rippit' of half of my work, I figured out my error and it went swimmingly from there! Bill had no need to be present so he stayed home with Gibbs for the afternoon.

Passing the time at the clubhouse.
After locking up, I returned home with my tea and began preparing supper. Tonight, Bill's favourite ground beef meal, meat loaf. It will give us leftovers for 2, maybe 3 nights. As a side dish we had mac & cheese and a vegetable. I need to get more of my veggies, I'm getting tired of mixed veggies and corn.
We watched a movie together at 6, Hallmark but at least a mystery one. I don't mind those so much. This was a good day, but I wasn't out in the rain so didn't get pictures. We had a cooler high of only 55F/12C but will be back up into the mid 60's tomorrow and beyond.

Someone was a little mopey
today, but still a cute little bum.
Good night.
Thank you for the pop by! Your comments are always appreciated.

The hat you made is so cute nice job. Your dinner looks good and we like meat loaf sandwiches.
ReplyDeleteSue
Thank you!
DeleteThat's an idea for one night! Hot maroc sandwiches. Thank you!
I have a recipe for Twin Meat Loaves. I make it up, freeze one, eat the other. Still get one night of leftovers and the satisfaction of knowing I only have to thaw the other one out. So much less work the second time around. Tastes just as good. Throw some potatoes in to bake and it's an easy to cook meal. I like it but not enough to eat it more than two days in a row.
ReplyDeleteI like that and agree that 2 nights in a row is enough for me too.
DeleteThanks for the top. Next time!!
. . .to be clear, I freeze one uncooked. Wrapped in plastic wrap and in a freezer bag.
ReplyDeleteOh! Good thing you clarified, I would have cooked it first. Thx
DeleteCrocheting does pass the time and you get a present when done. Hope you didn't get too much rain.
ReplyDeleteIt does and once I'm on an easy pattern, and that's all I do, I really enjoy it as a time passer too.
DeleteI just popped out of the RV to get a photo of the sunrise - I'm glad I did as the clouds have rolled in once again. We're expecting more rain today, though hopefully not the downpours we had yesterday morning.
ReplyDeleteThe flower on the yellow toque is cute! Admirable that you are using two colours for the second one - I hate weaving in the ends. :)
Gibbs looks how I feel on a gloomy day. What a cutie!
I was in the shower so Bill was nice enough to pop outside and get those sunrise pictures for me this morning. I didn't even see it was happening.
DeleteThank you the yellow tooth needed something to spice it up. I don't know that I'm weaving the ends in properly but I don't think Donna will mind, she's my sister. 😅
Rain Sat. night and Sun. morning then should be done with it - I HOPE!!! Valley of the Sun requires SUN! :)) Hats are cute - you're very talented!!
ReplyDeleteJust light rain through our day yesterday , so yes now I want sun again!
DeleteI like your picture quote at the top. We definitely have some puddles right now. Cute hat pattern maybe you would be willing to share, please...😊 See you soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, not that picture was very appropriate
DeleteThis is the easiest hat pattern for me and I'll be happy to share. Found it online when I needed it.
I love beans on toast. Harvey not so much.
ReplyDeleteThe toques are lovely and I have gone through the ripping back (in knitting we call it tinking) many a time.
God bless.
I don't mind the ripping in crocheting but knitting? No way.
