A Late Celebration with Ice Cream!

Park Place RV Park

On Sunday, Feb. 15th I woke from another lovely sleep. Even Bill got his 8 hours last night! 6 1/2 hours in the hot sun will do that! It's all good, we all agree that it was a successful fun fly again this year and a great time to boot!

Good morning!
(this was last night's sunset)

Before we took the clothes over,
I slipped out and saw this.

We were all up by 6:30 this morning, sorting laundry and loading the machines before 7. Bill left for the field, he gets to fly today!

And then this!

I looked after switching loads and bringing the folded clothes home all before 9. I love being done that early.

And looking to the west.

It was nice to see one of the park guests has returned for a few nights. Georgia came in a few weeks (?) ago with her Class B and is a very pleasant addition. She walked into the laundry room as I was folding our clothes. Sadly, she'll be hip-hopping in and out and will miss our games.

My job today, after my tea and after taking Gibbs for his walk, was to dry mop and wash the floors. Norwex products to the rescue! Mop pads and water and I was done in 15 minutes. Okay, 20 tops. I took the rubber mats outside and washed them down too.

I'm in my gravity chair,
in the sun. Gibbs is in my shadow.
Aaah, that sounds so sweet and sad
at the same time.💕

As the sun moved, so did my
little boy.

That's when I noticed how dirty the Weber Q was. Yeuch! So, it got a wash down as well as our lawn chair side tables. That's enough for today. I got washed and sat outside with Gibbs. He sat in the shade created by my gravity chair and the Suite.

Bill likes the sweet icing that comes with
the pack.
I prefer cream cheese and butter.
Yummy.

I played my online word games and stretched out in the sun. Aaah, loving this! At noon, we came in and I prepared the 'dreaded' delicious Pillsbury cinnamon buns for lunch. Hmmm, Bill was late so I'll have to keep his warm if he doesn't soon arrive. By the time lunch was ready, he pulled in.

So, at Hobby Lobby I bought
these plain wooden cacti.
With distressed ink and quilling,
I think they look much improved!
I love them!

I had 2 of the buns, put 2 away for tomorrow and Bill had his 4 waiting for him. I went back outside to sit in the sun and read for an hour while he slept. What a gorgeous day! The winds are picking up but we still reached 76F/22C again today. The clouds moved in and out all day.

Sue dished up ice cream with
or without bananas and
we added our own toppings.

At 4 o'clock, we walked over to the clubhouse and met about 16 other guests for an Ice Cream Social. Sue and Fred, as park managers, provided ingredients for banana splits, sundaes and all the fixins'. It was a really nice late afternoon treat. At home we had bacon and eggs as a follow up around 6.

My banana split was just the right
amount.

This has been a great day, however when I took Gibbs for his afternoon walk, I inadvertently removed my camera icon from my home page on my Samsung phone. Duh! Google isn't very helpful but I'll keep trying to get it back. (and I did! It was in the 'hidden' apps.)

And so ends another lovely day.
Good night.

Bill is finishing a post on his blog. Check it out here.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by!

  1. Your sky photos are great and so are your cactus. Please tell Bill he did a fine job on the palm trees.
