It's a Chillin' Day Again!

Park Place RV Park

The wee hours of Saturday, Feb. 7th had us awake a couple of times. Bill and I both heard Gibbs gagging as if about to be sick. First at 2:15 and then at 4:30. Poor little guy. It wasn't real bad but enough for us to get up and clean up a couple of spots. πŸ₯Ί

Good morning Saturday
and all of you!
Looks like a plane coming in for a landing.

That disrupts a person's sleep, like a sick child would, so I was still drifting off enough at 6:15 that I remained in bed until almost 8! Bill was about ready to leave and I sat at the table with my tea.

An ice cream cone to top
off supper last night.

Both times I was awakened, it was from a good dream too, although I have no clue now what they were about. πŸ˜… I looked out my window and saw Tom and Deb setting up a table for the yard sale. What?? I dressed quickly and set Lila and the rack out too.

Gibbs and I went for our walk.
If you look really closely, you can
see how hardy the desert Sunflowers
are. Warms my heart to see them.

Woops, we had the wrong day because it was on the calendar wrong! We all had a chuckle, Sue included, and put our stuff back until next week. Some proofreader I am!

I was intrigued by this trumpet
flower only to find out it is commonly
known as Jimsonweed and is highly toxic
and poisonous to humans and pets if
ingested. Huh! Not so pretty.
😏

Gibbs and I walked to the corner of Quail Trail and then at 11, I went to work on the puzzle. I should've taken our bedding and chair quilts over to wash but forgot. I had more cabbage stew for lunch and sat playing my games while my boys slept.

This morning I left the puzzle
like this.

At 2 I went to the puzzle and finished it before 4. Sue helped with the last 10 pieces. Bill and I walked over to T & D's for a short visit, they've been busy. I quilled a bit and Bill and Gibbs went for a walk.

At 4, I left it like this.
Only 750 pieces, that's my excuse.
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
(and Sue helped me with the last 10 pieces!)

After sitting under our canopy with Gibbs for a bit, I went in to prepare supper. Bill was grilling our burgers and I was hungry.

Yum. These buns are fresh and good
but too big for me. I ate the good stuff
and left the overflow of bun on my plate.

This was a wonderful day. 83F/27C under a clear blue sky. It will be a quiet evening.

A peek out our window,
just in time.
Good night!

Thank you for stopping by.

  1. Those jimson weeds make really nasty seed pods...look up the image. And don't let Gibbs get near any of them.

    1. I kept Gibbs away because there are many unknowns that can be harmful. Thanks.

  2. Well, you'll be gone by then I suspect, so you don't have to worry.

  3. Exactly ... Jimsonweed ... highly toxic. Don't let Gibbs get near it. They can pick up the seeds really easily and swallow them. We always dug that out and tossed it in the trash. You don't want to burn it either ... quickly learned that on the ranch years ago.

  4. Hopefully it was merely a hair ball. Poor pup!
We had an oopsie mistake (as Eli calls them) on our social calendar too. It was a couple of weeks away so a revised version was sent out and I made an announcement at coffee hour as well.

    1. Sue had to make a new calendar but bought 5$ of stuff from Deb. Made up for the confusion. Haha

  5. Oh dear, but at least you all got a good giggle over the sale mix up.

    God bless.
