Stocking Up, Broken Wagon Wheel (honest!)

Park Place RV Park

On Wednesday, Feb. 25th I was up at 7:30, yes it feels good to sleep in a bit. It was 11 pm when I went to bed last night. Gibbs was falling asleep on my lap but I had to finish my online game first! 😂 It was a fun couple of hours with the girls last night.

Good morning!

Okay, I'm going to blame my friend, Sue, for the broken wagon wheel causing me to fall off. 🤭Bill left for the field, another calm morning for the pilots to fly. I finished getting dressed, dug my cool, 'cool', sunflower dress out of the closet - perfect! - and took Gibbs for a short walk. I was running a bit late.

As soon as I walked into the clubhouse, I knew I was in trouble. I could smell something delicious and chocolately that Sue baked for morning coffee. Oh brother! How am I going to be able to resist? I have gone a week now without any extra carbs and feel really proud about that. I even resisted chocolate ice cream, syrup and sprinkles last night!

After coffee, we drove to Parker

Let's face it, I couldn't resist so took one of the smaller pieces of her chocolate chip cookie brownies with a cup of coffee. Mistake #1. At least I stopped there and after an hour, I quietly slipped out and went home. I wanted to do a bit of quilling so started on a new greeting card.

In the Walmart parking lot, you never
know what you'll see.
This motor home's tow vehicle
was a menacing looking Hummer.

Bill texted at 10:45 that he was on his way home. He unloaded B.B. of planes before we left Gibbs in charge of the house and drove to Parker. Grocery time! It was a big list but we found everything on it today. Well stocked again for another few weeks at least. Hey! I found flat iron steaks! 😀

Bill didn't have to ask me twice whether
I wanted to stop for lunch.

It was 12:30 and my tummy was rumbling. Mistake #2, we went to Early Bird Cafe in Parker for lunch. We do like the place but I should have remembered that I had one of the best quesadilla's there last time. Oh well, the omelet was okay and I ate the hash browns and 1 half piece of sour dough toast. LOL

It's never crowded but quite a few
in and outs like us.

Back home, we were tired and full but put the food away, feeling good about the full pantry and fridge again. It was looking scant. I went back to quilling and finished a card, finding the perfect recipient for it. I forgot the picture before sealing it up in an envelope. It was nice, I must say for myself. 🤭

Not my best choice, but it
was good and Bill enjoyed his fish and chips.

Neither of us were hungry for a big supper when the time rolled around to eat so decided to have our chips and cheese instead. Mistake #3. Why not? The behaviour was already in the toilet for today. Bill worked on charging batteries this afternoon and we watched the new episode of Season 50 of Survivor.

We're off and running.

This was a good day. I'll get back on track tomorrow, that is a guarantee to myself. We reached a blistering 91F/30C this afternoon so was glad we closed windows and turned the a/c on first thing this morning. I hope you've had a good hump day!

Good night!

Thank you for stopping by.
