Are We Having Fun Yet?

Park Place RV Park

On Thursday, Mar. 19th I woke up at 6:15 when I heard my boys come back inside. That was to be the coolest part of the day. It started out at 61F/16C ish. I didn't have as long a sleep as usual, I think my little 15 minute snooze in my gravity chair did me in.

Good morning!

I didn't mean to drop off, but because of it, I was awake from 10:30 to around 2. Hot, cool, tossing, turning and finally dropping off to wake up 3 hours later. I felt pretty good as I got up, got washed and dressed seemingly wide awake.

I had some cereal and just before 9 walked over to the office. Gibbs had no desire to do his job of riding around the park with Bill, 'too hot, Dad'. Smart pup, right? It was to be another quiet and hot day.

I finished 3 cards over the
last 3 days.
I'm trying to keep ahead of my
stock pile.

I worked on some quilling to finish a card and then the puzzle to put in time. There were a few calls and one request for a very short-term storage. I saw no reason to say no, she was here for a funeral. Bill parked her in uncovered and went back home to replace our kitchen taps.

Persistence does pay off.
I'm getting there!
Funny story: Yesterday, the couple that said
they LOVE this picture and LOVE doing puzzles,
came over when I was there. He proudly announced
that he put in 3 pieces. I wasn't sure whether he expected
a gold star or what.........I said, 'great! Do you want to
know how many I've put in?'
Couldn't resist. 😂

He picked up this brand new set at the 6 & 6 Auctions back home early in the summer. We've wanted to replace the set we have, for a couple of reasons. When he messaged me with a picture, I was blown away that he did it so quickly. The process of finding the right connections etc. was harder!

Our old set was 2 pieces
and the pull out sprayer was
worn and not staying in place
as it should.

They are very nice and we don't care that the brushed metal colour doesn't match the sink. Great job, Bill! The afternoon was quiet again UNTIL around 3 when the phones started ringing reporting a power outage. Oh no! The north row again.

Our 1-pc. new tap assembly
looks awesome and for a great price.
Kermit agrees!
We have a hole to cover up
but that is something we can work with.
Can you see it?
I love it!

Bill and Fred went out in the 100 degree heat to get to the root of the problem. People were pulling out their generators and one man found refuge in the air-conditioned clubhouse with a good book. What else can you do? They did find the problem but it takes a while to fix. 😔😓

I locked things up in the office around 4:30 but brought the phone home to field any other resident calls. Bill might want a cold shower when he gets home. I prepped a grilled cheese sandwich for his supper since my plan was to join the ladies for game night at 6.

Soft butter? We don't mind.

We played Cards Against Humanity and 6 of us did a whole lot of laughing, coming out with the most outrageous responses. I didn't think I'd play it again, but heck, it was a lot of fun tonight! It was Stephanie's last game night 😔so we made the best of it.

Melted coconut oil?
We see this once or twice in the
summer, but never here.

It was 9 pm when I came home and found a very happy pilot in our kitchen, with a very green and white air plane. Yes, his replacement Somethin Xtra was delivered today by UPS while he was out in the heat with Fred. It was a nice reward for him after 3 1/2 hours.

Gibbs thinks.........enough already.
He stays inside most of the day
when it is this warm but occasionally
sits out with Daddy in the shade.

Today, we reached a high of 105F/36C this afternoon, will have an overnight temp around 68F/18C. This heat will stick around for a couple more days before it starts to drop back for next week. We are thankful for the a/c, that's for sure!

I wish I'd got a pix when I first walked
in. He was sitting with a wing on his
lap. 😂
And with that......
Good night!

Thank you for your visit!
