The Ridge
On Tuesday, July 8th I was up long enough to say goodbye to Bill at 6:20 and then back to bed until 7:15. Gibbs had no issues complying. 🤭
I had my tea and sat in my, I should say 'our', recliner. Gibbs is in it as much as I am! With my games played, I debated on what was next in the creative department.
Good morning!
My first picture is of the delivery that arrived
at 9:30 this morning.
We heard yesterday that there is an escaped convict from Montreal prison in our area. Well, somewhere around here. At least they think so, meaning there must be a connection here in south Bruce/Hanover. 🤔

My calendar notification told me that my picked Caesar
eggs were ready today. Let's try one!
Yum, not bad, not bad at all. I need to boil more eggs
and add them to the mix. It takes 2 weeks.
It's a bit unnerving to know that and has me and a few others just extra aware. At least I have a barking protector as far as giving me notice of an arrival but still....hope they soon apprehend him.

I told you I'm messy with this craft.
I decided to work on Roz's next 2 pair of earrings. She'd like some in the Lion's Club colours when she wears her shirts. Purple, good and black. I think I managed quite well filling those needs. I will see her Friday night.

I made all but the two in the blue lines.
The bottom 3 are for Roz to choose from.
I'm keeping one pair of the purple & gold.
It's turned into a lovely afternoon, warm again but mostly cloudy. Gibbs and I walked to the mailbox to find it empty. I picked some chard and rhubarb, which I think the latter will be too tough, and checked on my other veggies.

A picture of the pond through
the weeds. It is so overgrown. Grrr
Things have grown up so much.
Bill came up the lane at 4:40 and I soon began packing up my 'stuff'. 😅 Small spaces require daily cleanups but that is okay, I'm quite used to it and have no complaints. I chose the hanging I was going to use for Manitoba and took it out to paint it first. Her bnb in Belmont, MB is beautiful in tones of gray.

The Evening Primrose
So bright and pretty.
For supper, Bill grilled his burgers, so good! I was hungry. I stewed the few pieces of rhubarb and added a bit of Splenda to sweeten the bitter taste. Only enough for one so I gave it to Bill and he enjoyed it. Not tough that way!

Follow that wiggle bum!
After clean up and his lunch made, we sat at our laptops and checked out the items we've been listing from Amazon. Their Prime deals are on now and if we can save a bit, up to 50%, we will order them this week.

My flowering raspberry bush has
its first blooms.
It was a lovely afternoon, got a bit humid again but kept a pleasant temperature in the mid 20's/mid to high 70's. I was busy crafting and didn't venture out for too long anyway.

Never a disappointment.
Yummy.
Finishing up the last of the Canada Day wine and
I'm already feeling the effects. LOL
Good night!
Thank you for your visit.

Well the prisoner on the loose is scary!!! I’m going to buy a bottle of that One wine. I have never heard of it so hilarious that it takes a person from the other side of Canada to tell me about a local wine 😂
ReplyDeleteIt is scary, makes me on edge.
DeleteIt is funny. I need to taste this wine, it is called Ones and I'm hoping that even though it is non-alcoholic, I like it! I've got 6 bottles to drink!
Glad they caught the bad guy ... like we need more to worry about! LOL. Your earrings are really cute ... keep it up and you can sell them in Q!!
ReplyDeleteNope, not yet........I hope they catch him soon. Thank you, the earrings are fun to make now but I won't sell them in Jess's territory. I'll make a bunch all winter to sell here at home. No one has heard of this!
DeleteGoodness, I hope they find the fugitive soon. I do suspect he is probably hiding with friends, but there is always a bit of unease especially when you are on your own.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a pleasant day. We're into the heat here, 35C expected today. I did my weeding and watering early this morning, and now I am hiding indoors. Too hot for me!
It sounds like he has relatives around Hanover but his pic is all over the internet so hopefully he is staying inside!!
DeleteOooh, that is hot. I expect we'll be getting it over the weekend.
Scary about the escapee, I know we have had a few this way. When we lived in Torquay we had a visit from the police telling us to lock our vehicles up and make sure all doors and windows were secured.
ReplyDeleteYour quilling is really coming along.
God bless.
Thanks Jackie. Oh, that would scare the heck out of me if the police came to tell me that!
DeleteThank you, my puzzling is being neglected with the quilling projects. haha
