I Think Fall has Befallen

 The Ridge

On Tuesday, Aug. 26th it was 6:30 when I got up. Bill was already downstairs, soon ready to leave for work. I was washed, dressed and had my tea ready by 6:50 and headed out 5 minutes ahead of him.

Good morning!
This was our sky last night
before clouds moved back in.

It's a cold day, well, relatively speaking. It is still August, not fall yet, and here we are at 10C/50F with wind and rain possible again today. There was no one at the Mat when I arrived, but a young camper from a nearby park was here for bike races and came in to do his laundry.

This is on my way to town
at 6:50.

Lots of clouds but
surprisingly pretty.
We did get some rain while I was inside
cleaning.

When he left, after really nice compliments to the laundromat AND my cleaning job, Sandy walked in. Wow, that is twice in a week that I've seen him. We chatted briefly, he checked that the 4 machines were repaired and we discussed winter cleaning and who was filling in for me. I have a couple of ladies interested if Ron isn't.

Maybe Ron cleaned on the weekend,
but I don't think he emptied the lint trays.
They were all full like this one. 😏

I stopped at Battery Pro for water and chatted with Mark for a bit. Back home, Gibbs was happy to have Mom sit with him for a while. However, it was short lived as I had to leave for Williamsford at 10:30. Robin was having guests come in tonight for 2 nights and they are from England. Wow!

The guests from last night,
truly stripped the beds!
Everything was in a pile
by the laundry machines.
LOL
I needed a queen set of quilts/shams
so had to check them all. Only
one set needed to be washed so the rest were
folded neatly and put away.

I was in and out in a couple of hours and home to relax the rest of the day. I did more quilling for a couple of hours and put my stuff away. Bill was home within 20 minutes of me making my afternoon tea. A short but busy day for the two of them.

Bill was trying to snooze beside him
and Gibbs decided to perform.
Look at where he's sitting......
waiting for me to notice.

For supper, the menu was baked pork chops, and a potato for Bill, some keto rice for me and a vegetable. This has been a good day. Some cash in my account as we slide to the end of a week and a month. We wonder where the days go, eh?

So, because it is
National Dog Day,
I played with him.
Look at the tail, constantly
on the move.
faster, faster.........

We reached a ridiculous (low) high of 14C/58F by mid afternoon. LOL I finished the last 3 chapters of my book today so dropped my last two off at Robin's to sell (after she reads them). I have a couple more of Janet Evanovich's books so will start on one of those.

Tasty and filling
= perfect.

Supper was good, we had Chapman's ice cream for dessert.  We cleaned up the non-dishwasher dishes together and after Bill made his lunch, it was time to chill. (with Patsy). 😀😂 We are dropping to 6C/43F overnight so won't be kicking the covers off tonight!

                                 Because it is his day.

                                                  Good night.

Thank you for stopping by and all your lovely comments on our weekend away. It was a great time!

We had those cool temps last week, this week it's hot, hot, hot. 29C yesterday, a similar temp today and through the weekend. So I won't be surprised if you see more heat next week.

  6. Cooler temps moving in here in the White Mountains also. Buddy is loving it here, also. She explores and rolls in our little patch of grass. Patti C.
