A Fun Game of Pool, Rolling the Afternoon Away and Sky Pictures

 Park Place RV Park

On Monday, Jan. 5th I was up before 7 and hopped in the shower. I guess it's time for a resolution.  One that I won't stick to but I might feel better making it. Lol

Good morning!

The scales were not kind to me this morning. I thought I was being better at my food choices but there are still a few small chocolate bars in the Suite. 🤭 Plus, a few of my dinner rolls and some alcohol have been consumed. 🫣

He was pretty gentle, but wanted
to protect his property. Soon enough
he was put inside his home,

There was a guest's dog loose around his site this morning when Bette and I walked at 8. When is ladies were playing poker pool, the problem was resolved.  The rv door didn't get closed properly when the family left for the morning. At least he was a friendly dog.

A lot of sky pictures again

There were 5 of us for pool and we had so much fun! We're all so vicious, haha, not really, but tease the heck out of each other when the cue ball is pocketed. At noon we were done and we all finished, after 5 games, with scores under 10.🤗 My friend, Patti, would be so impressed!!

Looks like a strong wind could
blow these fluffies away.

I had toast and peanut butter for lunch with some yogourt and went over to the clubhouse to roll quarters for guest's laundry. It is surprising how it adds up and how quickly time flew for me.  Sue and I take turns.

Sue's new family members.
They have lived in the park, with various
guests for a few years now.

Bill kept busy with odd jobs around the park and then here at home.  A couple of shelves and door jams needed nails and an overhead vent needed screws. All done in due time. He took Gibbs for his walk before I stormed home at 4.

It's been a good day. I wrote the events on the office chalkboard calendar for January. Due says she doesn't write neat enough on a wall board. Looks good, with a lot of things going on for the month. If only more people would participate. 🤷‍♀️.

For supper, Bill grilled sausages and he had his on bins while I ate mine on my plate with the leftover chili. Not enough of that for a full meal. We reached a pleasant high of 72F/20C under plenty of sun. Clouds moved in late afternoon for a nice sunset picture again.

I hope you've enjoyed your day. Sounds like freezing rain mover moving in back home for tomorrow. They've been mild but still hand lots of snow to contend with.

A bit of a mishmash for my meal
but it was good.
I thought of Rob when I ate the'
canned tomatoes. Pat will understand.
Good night!

Thank you for taking the time to see what we're up to.

  2. Most parks we stayed at, had their events posted inside their buildings. If you didn't talk to a park resident, you would miss out. Maybe an outdoor Bulletin Board would help the attendance.
    Stay Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. This park advertises very well. Each tenant gets a calendar, monthly, it is posted inside the office plus outside on the large chalkboard. There are no excuses for not knowing other than people just like to stay put in their units. More than half are year round so this is their home and they live their own lives.

  3. Our social committee does a calendar each month and would pin it up in the clubhouse near the mailboxes. I suggested (since I was convinced to be on the committee) that a copy be put in each mailbox. Maybe, just maybe we'll get a little more participation though it is pretty good, especially when food is involved. :)

    1. As I mentioned above, there is plenty of notice, calendars given out each month when residents pay their electric bills. Postings inside and outside the main door. They are just not joiners, I guess.

  4. I sometimes think people are a bit shy about attending things, especially if they are new to the site. I know it would take me awhile to feel comfortable enough to attend things, and Harvey would have to be dragged kicking the entire way.

    God bless.

    1. Ha ha, that is very true. It did take me awhile too and Bill, only when it is a potluck. Sue wishes for more attendance but we still enjoy the few that do participate.
