Park Place RV Park
On Friday, Jan. 9th, the strong winds prevailed. We were hoping they would die down overnight but if they did, they returned. Along with it came cold temperatures. The blessing? The sun is out in full force spreading Vitamin D to any who venture out.

| Good morning! He can hear his Daddy outside. |
We really aren't complaining, others who are higher up in Arizona, got snow. Brrr. When our time comes, we'll deal with it, I know we will, but for now we don't have to and that is another blessing. Sometimes in life though, there are things we need to deal with.

The Suite has had issues for a few years now with our dump valve. The black and gray valves are two separate units but ours required maintenance a while ago so Bill did a 'temporary (kind of)' fix on it one summer. It works fine, however, I need to give myself a lesson each time I dump the tanks.
Today, we bit the bullet and had Steve, the RV Proctologist from Quartzsite, drop around to replace it. His team was here at 8:30 and after a delay, the valve housing they brought was too big, they returned after lunch with the right one and had it back to its original state by 1 pm.

It was a big job, requiring one to lie on his back, arms extended upwards for a fairly long time. With Bill's previous rotator cuff injury, he wouldn't be able to do it. I was happy to pay the fee, not cheap but worth it, to save him the trouble and ensuing discomfort.

Gibbs wanted Poppy to watch
Daddy too
We had lunch in the interim and I worked on more cards. I managed to complete 3 and started on 2 more. It is more of a challenge to make masculine appropriate greeting cards, think about it, flowers don't work. I'll figure it out, hopefully without cars or tools!
I stopped at 3:30 and made myself a cup of tea. Bill and I decided we are due for an outing tonight for supper. 😉 The temperature was reaching to get to 57F/12C today and mainly because of the wind. It will be nice when our warm weather returns in a couple of days.

I'm very pleased with my idea for
the quilling paper strips, they
are working out great.
We drove to Mountain Quail Cafe for their Friday fish and chips. It was a busy place but we were seated before too long. In at 5 and out shortly after 6. That's not bad for Fish and Chip Friday! It was yummy, best fries ever, and I brought half my fish and coleslaw home.

These were big pieces of white fish.
I might share with Gibbs tomorrow.
Good night!
I decided to watch the movie Dakota, a new movie for me. I love dog movies as a rule but this one is not one of the better made ones. I still enjoyed the dog. 💗 This was a great day.
Thank you for stopping by.

Sometimes it's worth biting the bullet and paying to get the job done. One mistake and it could ruin Bill's winter. Windy and cool here today, but getting colder tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Gibbs and Poppy.
ReplyDeleteA good catchy title and dinner looked great.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty cards. People getting them will feel special.
ReplyDeleteYour fish dinner looked yummy !
Linda a.
Now THAT is a job for a professional for sure!! Fish dinner looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteYou got me with the title, of course I thought of Bill, so I'm glad to hear it was a successful repair made by the RV proctologist! That's not a pleasant job, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI know you've made wee animals with your quilling, and I recall a card for a family member that featured a car - though I don't recall if you were quilling then. Balloons instead of flowers might work too. I'm sure you'll put your creative hat on and make something awesome.
It was windy as all get out here, and I woke to 7C this morning, definitely a chill in the air!
