Park Place RV Park
On Saturday, Jan. 3rd I woke up when the boys went out and felt completely rested. I was in bed last night at 9 pm and it took me no time at all to drop off. I woke once, at 3, rolled over and was gone again. Note to self, no more wine for me after 6 pm!

Good morning!
Bill was getting his breakfast when I got up at 7 and washed. I didn't have anything on the agenda today, at least nothing scheduled. It was another pretty sky this morning so I was out 3 times trying to capture the changes.

I tried to choose the best out of 6 to display here.

The humidity was 85% this morning so the mountains were barely visible in the misty fog.
Before we left home in October, we ordered and received cupboard door latches for the Suite. That is one thing in these rv's that keep breaking and we keep replacing. Bill wanted to put some new ones on before we head home in April. Could we find them? Nope!

I love when the cotton ball clouds move in
He left for the field and I did a thorough search. High and low; I knew exactly what I was looking for. It is a small flat box, not in any spot I looked in. I messaged Bill that I had no luck BUT I did find the bag 'from Mrs. Claus'π€Ά of socks, slippers and another $1 pouch for paper strips. π€£
I knew that I had purchased those things!! They were tucked in Mr. Claus's bedroom cupboard and missed. I took Gibbs for his walk and then went to the puzzle to finish those last few pieces. Back home, at 11, I worked on a birthday card only to realize later that I had already made one. Duh!

Gibbs was no help in finding our missing items, or our minds.
Do you ever wonder where your mind goes when you lose it? I know we are getting forgetful but somehow we are just never quite prepared for some of the things we both forget. Usually, it's one of us and the other one remembers. Not today! Duh #2!

Some puzzling was done. Enough to finish the puzzle.
We had lunch when Bill got home and then searched again. Then......yah, not done yet. I realized that our 2nd youngest granddaughter has a birthday in just a few days and I forgot to get her card ready and sent. Duh #3!
![]() |
More clouds moved in Goodbye any chance of sunshine.
![]() |
Still mild, so no complaints.
When I went looking for it, no where was it to be found. Last winter we bought all the winter cards and put the appropriate $$ inside for grandchildren under 20. I was POSITIVE that I did the same this winter before we left home. After a thorough search, we can't find them either. Duh #4!

These are the 2 different lights I bought. Sorry, they are upside down.
Guess I'm going shopping in the morning for cards and sadly, the little one's card will be even later than it would have been. It's scary when we forget and sad when we can't believe that we've forgotten the simplest of things. π I know we're not alone but that doesn't help.
We hung out at home, discouraged 3 or 4 times over but will just take care of things tomorrow. Yesterday, at one of our favourite vendors at Tyson Wells, I picked up 3 packs of lights from their $4 bins. All battery but all useful. Today, I put two of them to use.

Another pretty Quartzsite sky.
One in the hall, motion detector light, and one for under the bed. This one was ingenious! I can't remember what I did with the cards, but came up with a great idea here. πIt is always too dark to see under there with even the big light.

I get more exercise running in and out for pictures than for anything else I do!
The other motion detector light will go on the end of the island for when our strip lights finally die and one will go in Bill's overhead bedroom cupboard. I have one on my side and love it. I think another pot light under the sink will work well too.

Why the colour changed? I'm not sure, it was actually bright pink. My phone does not do sky colours well in any of the available settings.
Small inexpensive things make us happy and after living in an rv for going on 10 years, we know what will make things easier too. Now just to find something for memory! What cupboard is it in? I can't seem to remember.

When I thought I was done, this appeared out of my west facing window.
It is and has been a cloudy day today with a cooler temperature than expected, 63F/16C. Still mild though as there is no wind. For supper, we had leftover chili and a dinner roll. I was quite hungry as I realized I'd only eaten 2 pieces of toast all day. LOL
![]() |
Just as good the second night.
Bill had a new movie starting at 6 so I finished today's post and watched a couple more episodes of Reacher, then Bones, then Gilmore Girls. I like to mix it up sometimes. Ha ha.

Good night!
I hope you've enjoyed the day. It is almost warmer outside at 6 pm than it has been all day. Love it!
Thank you for popping by.

Beautiful pictures of the sky and don't feel bad I am still looking for a bag I hid for a Christmas
ReplyDeletegift and am still looking for it. Maybe it will turn up before next Christmas. LOL
Sue
Oh thank goodness, we are not alone!!
DeleteHope your bag turns up!
Well, I can sure relate to your memory problems!!! I will go into a room to get something then forget what I went for!! Aggravating for sure!!! Guess it comes with the territory!! Thank you for your column. Very enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteDon in Okla.
It happens when you step out of a room to the hall or another room. Now before I go to get something I tell myself, as I go through the changes or portals, what I'm going for or that I have water boiling on the stove, so I don't forget. It helps. The flooring changes, too. It's good to be aware so no slipping.
DeleteDon, thank you. It is so ridiculous! I watched Mom lose her memory much worse than this and yet I'm still not very accepting of it!
DeleteAnonymous - I have done that as well. Not so much here, in this small space there aren't as many distractions but it still happens! Good plan though!
DeleteBut it is really exciting tomorrow when you remember. I know that rush! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks! LOL
DeleteThat's hilarious! and you're still young Lori, just wait.
DeleteIt is so frustrating when you can't find things, especially when you live in a small home! Hopefully your will trip across them soon. Awesome pictures of the sunrise and sunset! We enjoyed the sunset on our drive home from the airport but I will post those pictures tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I should be used to it but bill and I both say that we have to write these obvious things down!
DeleteWelcome back!
I love those little lights. I have two in my tiny bathroom. Just walk in and they turn on. By the way I spent over an hour in this tiny rig looking for my passport and my meds. Found the meds only. From now on, I will always stick all those where-do-I-put-these things in ONE drawer.
ReplyDeleteThey are great and for $4, a steal! We always have a good stock on the batteries.
DeleteWe have 3 drawers like that and cupboards but alas, those common sense places don't have the items. LOL
Something I didn’t know was all those solar lights we use (like the butterflies we had on our metal yard artwork) have batteries inside. I threw away our first set and was informed about the batteries when I was buying a new solar light lol π€¦♀️ I guess that was one of my duh! moments lol
ReplyDeleteSusan
Too funny! Some of those yard things are a puzzle to get in to as well, so sometimes easier to buy new!
DeleteYou might find replacement Latches at the Tyson Wells vendors. There is another vendor slightly across from Silly Als.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe and Enjoy the warmer temperatures.
It's about time.
Oh, they are cheap enough on line, and we just bought a box of 12 before we left home. They're here somewhere!! haha
DeleteThanks Rick.
Gorgeous sunrise and a gorgeous sunset!
ReplyDeleteThank you FG
Deleteair tags and post-it notes are great for helping me find things.
