'Twas Another Good Day

Park Place RV Park

On Monday, Jan. 12th, it was another day that I slept in. Again, I blame my late night. I stayed up until 11, watching Reacher, Season 1 with my sweetie. I think I dropped off quickly but then woke a bit later, for half hour, restless.

Good morning!

So, I was really not surprised when the clock read 6:50 when I first opened my eyes. I didn't move much, but rolled over until 7:30. I pushed myself to do my stretches, get up and get out to walk with Bette, Annie and Della. The latter two are pooches.

It was a pretty morning.

It was a calm morning, although chilly at 40F/4C. Bill left for the field while I was gone so I'm glad I said goodbye before I went out. It isn't a long walk, but it is something and a way to get moving. I had my tea, got washed and dressed before taking Gibbs for his walk, albeit short.

It looked like the clouds might
be going away for the day.....
but that didn't happen.

At 9:15, I walked to the clubhouse with a prepped coffee, my pool cue and my Newfoundland creation.....as far as I got. I needed Linda's (another quiller) opinion and assistance. I showed her my attempt at the whale and she helped me a lot. 😍

Anne Marie is our newest player.
Never played before and she is making
some great shots.
Her grown children back home wonder
where 'their mother went'.
She's having a ball down here.

There were 5 of us playing pool and we had a lot of fun. I came in 3rd, which with a tie for 2nd, meant I was second last. Ha ha, we played 6 games in 2 1/2 hours and that was good because Sue was busy in the office a lot, causing delays.

When I got home, part of my
shipment had arrived.
More crafting tools.

Lots of last minute calls for spots for the RV Show but the park has nothing available. Snooze, you lose. The sky was shrouded with clouds but we managed to climb to 67F/18C today, regardless.

Bill, Gibbs and I drove out
to the desert at 2:45.

After lunch, we relaxed at home and I finished the whale (except for a couple of touch ups) and I'm quite pleased with the result. (pix tomorrow)Thanks Linda! I was happy to receive an Amazon package today for Washi Tape, something Kim told me about. 😀

Dave, Kim, Ken, Bill & Gibbs
sheltered from the north wind.

We drove, all 3 of us, out to Roadrunner for Happy Hour with Ken, Kim, Dave and Joan. Joan was not feeling well but we had a great visit for a couple of hours. We discussed a variety of things, and laughed a lot. Circuses, gypsies, geneology and package deliveries. No world problems solved though.

I tried hard to get both sun dogs
on our drive home.

Bill grilled sausages at home and I watched the sky until I got tired of going in and out. It was a lovely sunset. Supper was good but I just didn't have an appetite.

Even this little bit was too much
for me tonight.

I think the Rum Chiata played a part in that but it's okay. 🤔🤭I felt fine and will save my Brussel Sprouts for another night.

This was a good day. A couple of memories landmarked this day. My brother would be 73, so Happy Heavenly birthday to him. And it was one year ago today that a good, sweet, kind friend passed. We miss you, Rob. Another Angel to watch over us.🪽

Good night!

Thank you for your visit.
