The Weekend is Here

Park Place Rv Park

On Saturday, Jan. 10th I slept in until 6:30. I did hear Gibbs come back to bed, that is what woke me. I wasn't ready for his face wash yet, so when he looked at me, I just rolled over. He thought that was a good idea and did the same.

Good morning!

At 7:20, I moved, stretched and he proceeded to give me doggy kisses all over my face. All I can do is giggle at him, so he continues as he lays across my chest. No dog germs here, Lucy! Today, I had nothing going on so was in no hurry to get moving.

On the way out of Quartzsite,
we passed the Town Park where
the RTR (rubber tramp rendezvous) group
spent the week/weekend.

I wasn't interested in the Camelpalooza parade or vendor sales. Maybe another year when I have someone to go with. Bill was able to go flying, the winds were decent for a couple of flights, he said. I took Gibbs for a longer walk and felt great.

Today is yard sale day but, again, not keen, and I only saw a couple anyway in the park. Back home, I started looking for card ideas. Thank you Maebeme for your suggestions. A car is a bit of a challenge for simple quick cards, but maybe a VW bug? Hmm.

I like the drive to Parker.

Bill was home around 10:30 and had caught up with Ken at the field. With warmer weather coming and free days for us, we'll be getting together soon. I hear Joan and Dave, their Ontario friends (ours now too) have arrived at Roadrunner. Nice.

The views are lovely.

We had lunch, just sandwiches. Mine was a lettuce, pb and mayo on keto bread. A favourite from my youth and I still enjoy it with crispy lettuce. We'd decided today was the day for Walmart shopping and since $$ are a bit tight (after the RVP), we will stock up for the month as much as possible.

A couple of sights as we
approached the town.

We are no charity case by any means, 😂, but watching what went into our cart more than usual. For $200, we came home with a lot of food and the fridge, freezer and larder are full again. The wind is less today than yesterday and with full sun, we were able to warm up to 62F/15C by mid afternoon.

I made a cup of tea and sat to write today's post. A head start on it always feels good, especially around 7 pm. For supper, I had Madame IP cook a very small roast for supper. Potatoes and gravy also done with the meat.

I quilled some more, and managed to finish a masculine card. I'll probably make a few similar, it was easy enough.

I know it looks crooked here, but it
really isn't. It is the way I held the camera.

By the way, I felt generous today so I ate the leftover coleslaw from last night and put the white fish in the fridge for Gibbs. He ate his breakfast with just a few pieces added in his dish. Yes, he is spoiled.

All day, the sky was clear.

Supper was really good but the teeny roast was only enough for one meal, so we cleaned it up. Yummy! While we did the dishes, we wtched 3 episodes of Beast Games, Season 2. We enjoyed this the first time and it caught us up in the excitement. It's entertainment.

It was chilly but this little
trooper never noticed.
💕

This was a pretty quiet day and I find the drive to Parker is always very calming. My how green the desert is getting.

Supper was good.
A Sunday night meal on a Saturday.
It was too chilly to bbq.
Good night!

Thank you for popping by.
