Weather Change, Plan Change, New Experience!

The Ridge

On Sunday, July 26th my plans were so up in the air that I wasn't sure if I was coming, going or staying home! 😂 

Good morning!
What is the day going to bring?
(PS - no Moonflowers today!)

Rain and storms were not due until 1 pm but the sky this morning was not very encouraging for having a craft sale.

to my chair?

Gibbs got a new cookie today so he had to bury it in my chair - even when there was nothing to cover it with. He never did eat it, it was very hard and covered in a doggie-approved icing. 🥺

I messaged Roz, a Lion's member & friend, about her invitation for an afternoon event. I wondered if weather would also be a factor for that. Bottom line, I skipped the sale and after lunch, I left Gibbs in charge and drove down Concession 6 to Roz and Brian's home.

Melody and Shelley picked us up there at 2 and drove to Kat and Deidter's home. This is the first time I've been to both places and I always like to see where friends live. Kat was holding a Wiccan gathering of 5 friends, offering to read Tarot cards if we were in favour.

She had a lovely charcuterie board laid out with apple cider and water for us when we arrived.

They have a great spot, in the trees, with a tiny home that they live in year round - off grid. I give them a lot of credit as they obviously love and believe in what they are doing. Kudos!

We had a wonderful afternoon and since I've never had my cards read, I was excited for this new venture. When I walked away from my reading, I felt like a million bucks as they tagged me to a tee.🤭😉 Kat did really well and before we left at 5, she gave us a tour of their tiny home. 

It was such a peaceful
afternoon.

We all believe what we want, to each his own, and I have always tried to keep an open mind to most new things. I messaged Bill that we were on our way back and when I returned from Roz's, Bill was reconciling our bank statements and Gibbs was greeting me with kisses.

For supper, which I hadn't really planned earlier, was grilled cheese sandwiches. They didn't take long but filled the gap, tasting pretty good! I enjoyed the afternoon, getting to know Kat and Melody was a bonus. I have slowly been catching snippets of their lives from our C the A meetings.

Some people just truly
enjoy what nature offers us
and know how to show it off.

Bill washed the fry pan and went to the Hangar for the evening. The day turned out beautiful. Of course, after plans were cancelled or changed, but that's Ontario weather for ya! We had sunshine for a lot of the afternoon (now nicknamed 'rain/storm') by the forecasters.

We reached a high of 24.44C/76F and without the precipitation, I have to go up and water my plants tonight.
