The Ridge
On Sunday, Oct. 12th it was truly a sleep-in day. I didn't have to say a word to Gibbs, it was 10 minutes before 7 when we all woke up! Love that and hope there will be more like it over the next 5 months. 😉

Good morning!
Our drive to and from White Church
was pretty quiet
and countryside pretty.
Not much happening in the morning on the Ridge. Between 7 and noon, we just lazed around. We had our morning drinks, our showers and I went rummaging in the Bunky to see what I could reach to carry the pies in. Hmm, well, I came up with a duffel bag that works just fine.
With some ice packs, our drinks, pies and the corn, it all fit nicely. We left Gibbs in charge at noon and drove to Hanover to pick Donna, Gerry and Joanne up. The drive from there to White Church, Gayle and John's home, was only about 40 minutes. We arrived around 1:15.
We noted some really nice changes that they've made in their home since they moved in just over a year ago. Things are getting updated to bring the house, as Gayle says, into this century. 😊 We visited until 2 or so when a potluck meal was served.

Lots of choices with no
duplicates except for 2 pumpkin pies.
One homemade (ahem).
Everything was delicious!
We had turkey, ham, roast potatoes, gravy, corn, green bean casserole, Brussel sprouts w/bacon, squash, salad, rolls and squash soup. It was all very good. Dessert was pumpkin pie, apple pie, apple crisp and chocolate cheesecake. Oh my!

You knew I'd take my camera and
get a group picture, right?
There were only 21 of us this year
and 1 puppy. Mimi
Thank you Gayle and John for hosting.
We packed up around 5 ish, time had zipped by, and dropped Donna and Gerry off first at their home. Because we had the 4 bags .of clothes in Ptooties, we drove Joanne home and dropped them off at her home for next week's exchange. Timing is everything and this worked out well.

With the sunsetting on Durham's
trees, the pictures turned out quite lovely.
Bill pulled into our lane around 6:30. It was a nice day, warming up to 16C/62F by mid-afternoon. Our countdown timer is moving quickly, or so it seems.
I hope you had a nice Sunday and Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for your visit!
