The Ridge
On Saturday, July 18th, by golly, the weather forecasters got it exactly right! If we had any doubts about the weather when we went to bed last night, they were diminished this morning.

Good morning! This is what the day was like.
Robin asked if I was available to clean for her again today. My answer was that it depended on the weather. There was to be a street wide subdivision sale today with a rain date next Saturday. Donna and I were going to go but it was an easy decision this morning to call Robin and tell her I would clean. 😄

I worked at my craft and this is 'Love' from behind me. I don't think Bill looks at me like that! 😉ðŸ¤ðŸ¥°
I was able to sleep in a bit, at least stay in bed after Bill got up. They went out at 6 and at 6:30 the clouds let loose and we got a really good rain, on and off for the next 4 hours. My gardens are smiling, as my sister says. Unfortunately, the gravel in the peak of our lane has washed away a fair bit. Ugh!

I didn't get dressed until 10:30 and didn't go out until 10:45. So, missed the 4 Moonflowers which were basically drowned by then.
We drove together to Williamsford, Bill dropped me off and he carried on the short distance further to Owen Sound. Princess Auto and Home Depot here he comes! I was just finishing up 90 minutes later when he returned. it was still feeling warm at that point.

We got a lot of rain in a short period of time.
Back home, we had some lunch and then drove next door to welcome Dot and Gord back to Ontario. They had a great time in Inverness, Cape Breton/NS. Gord approved of Bill's work in their basement, which he was worried about. I knew he was worrying over nothing but still understood.

It was foggy for part of our drive to Williamsford today.
We didn't stay long and Dot surprised us by giving us each a souvenir of Nova Scotia. I love my fish earrings and Bill got a lapel pin for one of his hats. It was nice of them to appreciate us for looking after a couple of things. Not necessary but nice. 🥰

We love them! The earrings are homemade and now I can appreciate that more!
Bill and Gibbs had a snooze while I finished yet another pair of flower earrings. I had a couple of cards I wanted to finish so did that before it was time to start supper. Simple one tonight, mac & cheese with ham and rice pudding for dessert. Bill sorted the laundry while I cleaned up the pot I used.

Two cards I finished today. The flamingoes were fun.
He went to the Hangar, seems the rain has stopped for the night. The temperature hovered around 20C/70F all day but it felt cooler with no sun in sight. Tomorrow will be dry but cooler than I originally expected, which was going to be hot. I'm happy about that.

Pink ones

And blue ones done today. I'll see if they are a hit at all tomorrow. 🤞
I packed up a few things late this afternoon and remembered to grab a couple of book choices to start reading. I made a list so I don't forget anything important tomorrow. Yes, it has come to that for me. LOL

Quick and filling. Finishing up the last of the Legion's pickles and olives.
This was a good day and I won't be letting Robin down tomorrow as today's guests are staying for 3 nights. 😉 Bill is anxious to go flying with the boys in the morning too.
Thank you for your visit!

Your cards look great and good luck tomorrow. Hugs to Gibbs !
