Park Place RV Park
On Wednesday, Jan. 15th Gibbs and I were awake first but it is Daddy who takes him out so we just waited 20 minutes until Bill moved. Then Gibbs crawls over and gets his hug and gives a kiss to get him up and mobile. π I did a couple of stretches after dealing with a twinge in my lower back for a couple of days.
But, I
also grabbed my ‘pretend’ block that Donna made and for 3 minutes laid on it,
right at the sore spot. Wowsa! Sometimes, I kick myself for waiting so long to
remember these things my sisters show me. It worked like a charm and I was able
to get up without feeling the annoying twinge. I dressed in my layers and
headed out for my walk at 7:15.
I was plenty warm and enjoyed the fresh 37F/2.7C with just a bit of wind that early. I didn’t bump into my friendly lady walkers, Nancy and Betty, nor did I meet up with Dolly and her master. ☹ Back home, I was hungry for something so had some Pomelo with my cup of tea. Then Gibbs and I walked before I got dressed for my morning. Coffee hour at 9, with Nancy and Jess and then we got a ride with the teacher to class.
Today's shadow boxes. These were fun, didn't take long
but we love them!
It was a
fun, quite full class of 8 and today we made 2 shadow boxes. I love them and
can be hung in my She-Shed back home. ♥ We had fun, as usual and wre home before noon. I think Nancy is
addicted! π Back home, Bill and I had lunch and after
placing his own order for the club, he went up for a snooze. That was my cue to
go and work on the puzzle for a couple of hours.
Another picture of the love bug watching
for bad guys out my window.
(Actually, he is looking across at Nancy's rv)
I was
over there for about 15 minutes and Nancy popped in to give me a hand – and to
visit. It’s not an easy puzzle, with so many shades of the same colour, but we
made a darn good effort for a couple of hours. We left just after 3:30 and took
our pooches for their walk, one of their walks, and I made my afternoon cup of
tea. So creamy and good.
We made some progress on the puzzle this afternoon.
Thanks Nancy for your help!
For
supper, Bill grilled sausages, Brats to be exact and we had lovely fresh buns
to have them in. I worked on my blog and then settled in to find something on
tv. The new seasons are slowly starting up, a new series called Doc has caught
our attention. After two episodes, we are still in ‘decision’ mode. So far, it
seems worthwhile. π
The brats were delicious |
Another day and we are dealing with the same winds as we’ve had for over a week, just not as strong. Mostly coming from the north/northwest so, of course, they are cool but with that blue sky and sunshine, we reached a pleasant enough 67F/19C. The cold isn’t done with us yet though, next week we drop again. Oh well, we’re still above freezing overnight and that is a good thing. It is cooler in many ‘hot spots’ this winter.
This is Bill's drumstick. Mine was pretty squished because our freezer is so full! |
Today, my oldest grandson hit a milestone. Taylor Jesse turned 30 years old. No steady gal in his life at this point but I haven't given up hope yet. He's a smart, handsome young man. I clearly remember the day he was born, like it was yesterday. How can that much time have gone by?π
Happy Birthday, Taylor
Tj to his friends.
I had a
great day, some sad, melancholy moments that I doubt will pass anytime soon. To
me, the friend we lost is worth every single one. ♥
Thank you for the visit.
I must have missed it. What is a "pretend" block?
ReplyDeleteIn 2019 I lost my bestest friend ever.
ReplyDelete...my childhood friend. You never get over it.
