Park Place RV Park
On Friday, Jan. 17th I woke at 6:13 when Gibbs jumped back on the bed after going out for his morning constitution walk. 😊 That business taken care of. At 6:45, I did my stretches, including the block for 3 minutes in that aching area of my lower back. There isn’t a lot of floor space in our unit, well maybe to Nancy there is. It means that only exercises that can be done in a 6’ x 2 ½’ space, can be done the floor of the Suite so I do them on the bed.
Good morning! My camel in the window tells me the sun has risen
I could
take my yoga mat out to the patio mat if I was so inclined. I’m not. It works
for me. Nancy wanted to join me for my early morning walk since she is up really
early, so at 7:15 we met and did the big block. It was chilly at 43F/6C but
not bad at all. I layer a lot! There was a slight 2.5mph breeze which we hardly
noticed. We parted ways 3500 steps (or so) later and I came in for bowl of
Special K and my tea.
Meet my 'pretend' block
It isn't made of bamboo. 😀
When it
was Gibbs’ turn, he took me around his regular block. Because just as we were
leaving, Bill and Duncan returned from the field, Gibbs stopped halfway around
debating whether we should be going back to Daddy. I waited and he soon carried
on. 😊 Such a goof! It was turning into a
gorgeous day with clear skies, little to NO wind (dare I say?) and warming up
to 70F/21C this afternoon.
So, for lunch I baked cinnamon buns.
They shouldn't be soggy on the bottom, right?
And that's a lot of cream in the bottom when I only used
1/4 cup.
Gibbs and
I sat outside with Bill with our coffees and soaked in the sun beaming down on
our site. Nancy joined briefly until 11:30 when it was time to bake the
Pillsbury cinnamon buns. Okay ladies, maybe in the convection oven it is
different but I followed directions to add the cream and it just didn’t seem
right. I used the lesser amount suggested and Bill said ‘please don’t do this
again’. 😊 The bottoms were soggy and he doesn’t
do soggy. I had to try; they sounded good and still tasted good.
He dozed
for 30 minutes, or less because of Gibbs notifying us of passersby, and left at
12:30 to go to the big tent to finish setting up their planes in their booth.
The banner they had made is awesome, he’ll be posting a picture later I’m sure.
I had Madame IP boil me 5 eggs so I can make egg salad sandwiches for him this
week. He and Tommy agreed to take their lunches and snacks for the 9 days they
work. Good idea!
Some headway was made today on the
current puzzle. Steps, some fencing and some buntings.
(my new word of the day) 😁
I washed
my hair, since a shower wasn’t necessary, in my own preparation for tomorrow’s
early departure. First day at the RV Show means get there early for a good
parking spot. 😊 When the eggs were done, I peeled
them (so easy!) and put them in the fridge to cool. Time to work on the puzzle
for a bit but first, I took Gibbs for a short walk.
Happy Hour at Ken and Kim's
Patty wasn't in attendance.
At 2:15,
I returned home and we loaded our chairs and drinks into Black Beauty to go for
a Happy Hour at Roadrunner. Ken and Kim were happy for the visit and it was an
absolutely gorgeous day to sit in the sun. Finally! They are almost invisible
out there with all of the rv’ers that have moved in around them. You never know
when you park in a blm, someone else can pull in pretty close. The good thing
is that the one large group will be leaving early in the week and they’ll have
their peace back.
This low-flying plane was making a few
rv'ers nervous. He was making several
low passes over Roadrunner blm.
We left
around 5 and made plans to leave in the morning at 8. Bill and I had planned
toasted Westerns for supper so I cut up bacon, red pepper, celery and green
onions. It was filling and I was hungry for it. After clean up, Bill made his lunch for tomorrow. I worked on my
blog and read some of my next Stephanie Plum story. She’s entertaining. I may
watch some tv, and will surely sleep well tonight after all the fresh air. 😊 This has been a nice day.
I'm not keen on this keto bread toasted but
the omelette inside was good!
Good night!
Thank you
for your visit!
