The Weekend Coming Down, Gorgeous!

Park Place RV Park

On Sunday, Jan. 26th we were up at the crack of dawn, maybe ahead of it! We sorted laundry and walked over to load 2 machines. Bill finished getting ready for his last day, day 9, at the RV show and I had my cereal and tea with him. After making the transfer from washers to dryers, I returned home to say goodbye, with a few minutes to spare.

Good Sunday Morning!

I’m quite proud of him and Tommy for taking this on and other than an hour here or there, they did it all on their own. 😊 They love their hobby and are pleased to share it with curious minds and interested bystanders. When the clothes were dried and folded, Nancy and I went for our walk around 9. What a beautiful morning!

The clouds had moved off and it was around 46F/8C. The wee bit of a breeze didn’t hamper our walk and I only needed a hoody and windbreaker. We were quite warm when we returned. It was time for Gibbs to go for his walk, so off we went and he chose the longer route today again.

It turned into one of the nicest days we've had
in a couple of weeks.

I had put the completed yellow puzzle away earlier and dropped our next one on the table. However, when the temperature warmed up later in the morning, I didn’t want to sit inside the clubhouse (where it is usually very warm) to start it. Instead, I sat in the sun on my gravity chair and finished my book. It was incredibly warm and I was in capris and a sleeveless top. With no bugs, I was fully content!

I'm getting closer to getting a pix
of the nose touch!
They're adorable together.

I came in for lunch, Gibbs was up on the bed waiting for me. He didn’t want to come out with for some reason. I warmed up some of my broccoli cheddar soup and finished 2 crusts of sour dough bread. Nothing like soup dipping! I’d planned a bike ride on Lila this afternoon to test out my new seat but the sun was too inviting. I took Gibbs for another walk and then I sat out again. This time Gibbs joined me. 😊

Duncan and Patty were trying out their new e-bike and took turns sitting with me on the patio. It hasn’t been warm enough lately to really sit out for very long, especially once we’re shaded, so this was nice. We’ve missed a lot of Happy Hours because of the weather, and we’re all hoping for a change – soon. Nancy also dropped over in between football games to visit Gibbs and I.

Nancy visited us for a while in between
football games.........Gibbs is sad whenever
she walks back home. Oh dear, what will
February bring when she leaves for good?

I decided to take Lila for a spin around the big block. By the time I returned from non-stop pedaling, my legs were pretty mushy and I was out of breath. I made sure NOT to take a break at all this time and I managed. I don’t think I could have gone much longer though. LOL I was expecting company for a short happy hour around 4 so made sure the chairs were dusted off. They haven’t been used in a while!

She dotes on him and he loves it

Bill finished at the show at 3, last day being a bit shorter. That gave the vendors time to start packing up before the beginning of a week. He and Tommy had things all cleaned up, planes returned to their owners and tables and chairs back to Jim’s. He was home just before 4 which was darn good timing. I believe they started taking planes apart before 3. Ssssh. 😊

From 7:30 this morning, our neighbour, Walt,
has been cleaning his Class A.
He sure takes care of it!
He worked all through our Happy Hour until dark.

Tom, Deb, Ken and Kim arrived from Roadrunner blm a few minutes later and we all gathered in the gazebo. Nancy, Duncan and Patty also squeezed in. With my table and a happy puppy, it was crowded but I hoped everyone was comfortable enough. We had lively conversation for an hour and a half and then said our goodbyes to our guests.

It was too tight in there to get up and get a good
picture of the gang, so this will have to do.

Except for D, P, Bill and I, they were going to Outback Pizza for supper. Have fun guys and have a piece for us! We won’t see T & D until March on their way back through so exchanged hugs before they left in their bright yellow Jeep.

The other side of the tent.
Oh, and this is the purse Nancy picked up at the big tent
for a great price!

This has been a good day. The temperature was such that we haven’t had for a couple of weeks, reaching a calm 69F/21C but it felt much warmer in the sun. 😊

Our friends prepare to depart.

What’s this? A 38% chance of rain through the early morning hours (3 – 4 am), but I won’t be awake to count the number of drops we actually receive.

It was an easy supper of leftovers
and it was tasty as well as filling.
Good night!

Thank you for stopping by!
