Park Place RV Park
On Thursday, Jan. 23rd Bill was in the shower first, around 7 and then it was my turn. He had a full day at the show today, on his own. Nancy and I had discussed which day did we want to go back for another walk through and today was the day. So, we skipped the early morning walk around the big block and went with Bill at 8:15 to the Big Tent. 😊
It was a
cool morning, brr, but not as bad as it had been the last couple of nights. I
dressed accordingly and Bill parked in his special ‘vendor’ spot and he went
inside. Nancy and I waited until 8:50 before walking to the west entrance. His
booth is just inside the door, about 4 spots down. We said hi and then set off
for a much easier walk-through. There were no large crowds today.
Before we left for the tent,
Nancy brought us these delicious
home-made cinnamon rolls.
Better than Pillsbury, I'll need the recipe!!
Of
course, I still gathered more candy, some of my fav’s and some of Bill’s. A
cloth bag and a couple of pens but otherwise, I left things behind. Nancy found
a purse and I found a sweater that we couldn’t live without and then after depositing
our goodies in the truck, we walked over to Tyson Wells on Kuehn St. The winds
had sure picked up while we were inside and yet the sun was very warm.
Zig-zagging
back and forth a bit at first, we visited the Kitchen Tent and a couple of
other favourites as well. We managed to pick up our 2 pair of mini pliers and I
got a pair of little scissors. Tools of the trade for paper quilling. I think I
have everything I need now with one exception. My plastic tine comb will have
to suffice for now. 😊 I guess there is nothing holding me
back since I also picked up some little jump rings for earrings.
We
returned to Black Beauty and drove home around 12:30. It was nice to see Duncan
and Patty had returned. They were away for the night getting an installation.
You can keep an eye on his blog, Sharp Corners,
to see what they’ve been doing. Nancy and I took the dogs out and had our
lunch.
Another couple of stars
Aren't they adorable?
I
finished the chicken noodle soup with peanut butter on Saltines and that hit
the spot. Gibbs and I walked around the park route, since he missed it this
morning, and then Nancy and I met to finish the donut puzzle. It was fun and
more challenging than you might think. Still, it only took us 2 days of working
on it so we’re proud. 😊
The donut puzzle is done.
It was fun!
Back
home, I made my tea and sat with Gibbs until it was time to go get my sweetie
at 5. I didn’t pop the gazebo down today since the winds, although gusty, didn’t
get over 19 mph here in the park. At 4:45, I drove BB back to pick Bill up from
the show. Closing time.
Our gazebo gets buffeted around
pretty good some days
Tonight
for supper, I’ll reheat some meatloaf and cook some rice and vegetables for on
the side. I also put together an apple crisp from Ridge apples that were in the
freezer. ♥ Everything was great. We watched a
movie together while waiting for the dessert to finish cooking and then cleaned
up the pot and mugs.
Bill and I made a stop at Moon Mountain Mail
to pick up 3/4 of my Amazon order.
It was nice to see Heather!
This was
a really nice day and Nancy and I got back to Tyson Wells after walking the
tent. That is something we’ve talked about since Saturday. Our weather still
hasn’t warmed up to Quartzsite’s usual standards but we are enjoying it all the
same. The sun is the warmest ever and there are no ‘critters’ flying around to
pester us. 😊
Supper was good!
The apple crisp was perfect, if I do say so myself.
Good night!
We
reached a pleasant enough 64F/17C today. Thank you for stopping by.
