Cool Start to the Day, Ride with Lila, Some Sun-Sitting

Park Place RV Park

On Thursday, Jan. 2nd we woke up to a cool morning. Our weather station showed that it was 40F/4C and when I stepped outside for my walk at 7:15, I didn’t doubt that. I was layered in my down jacket and poufy vest, thermal leggings and mini gloves though, except for my cheeks, I was plenty warm. Well, I had no hoody today so my ears felt the chill too. 😊

Good morning!

By the time I rounded the corner from Plymouth Rd onto Coyote Rd, I was undoing the zipper on both jackets. It was a great walk, perfect time of the day to be out there. Back home, I made my tea and had some cereal with half a banana. After walking with Gibbs, there was nothing on my daytime schedule other than what I chose to do. Gotta love that!

It is a fun puzzle and I'm sure it won't take long
to complete.

It was around 10 when I made my bp coffee and ventured over to the clubhouse to work on the puzzle. The lady who started it had the border done (pieces were separated in the box) and the sky so she made a good run at it. 😊 I worked in the bottom corner. I love the picture, a desert scene, it almost seems familiar but I’m not sure since I haven’t signed the back of the box.

On my bike ride this afternoon,
I saw this Saguaro that may be flowering (on top?)
or it's a very healthy growth. It appeared yellow
but I couldn't see it well enough.

I had to stop for a picture here.
Reminds me of a ranch.
I love the fence and stone designs from
one end to the other of the property.

I worked at it while Bette packed away the Christmas decorations in there and at noon, came home to have lunch with Bill. We each had another piece of the C.M.W.S. breakfast casserole with maple syrup. Rather than go back to the puzzle, I sat outside with my book, in the sun of course, and then hopped on Lila for a nice bike ride.

You asked for a picture
so Bill took one for you.

When I returned, Bill was prepping our generator rack/hitch on the back of the Suite to add my bike rack. He’s had it figured out for over a month so finally had the chance to get it done. He doesn’t give up.

Bill drilling holes in our rack that
holds the generator.
On the right, Gibbs and I relax.
The sound of the drill was soothing (kind of)

I sat in the sun again with my book while he worked. LOL We planned a simple supper as he has night flying and I have games night over at the clubhouse. We’ll see who shows up; this park has turned into a dud as far as guest attendance. I’ll let you know how it turns out!

On his afternoon walk, you know what this is?
Indecision while he figures which way to go.
He chose the short in-park walk this afternoon. 💖

We ate early so both events could be accommodated and the remainder of the evening was quiet in front of the tv. My book is extremely good, another great mystery with Armaund Gamache. It is keeping the pages turning quickly. 😊

Beef meat pies and sprouts for me.
Bill had the pie with bread.
He will eat his pie when he gets home after dark.

We reached 72F/22C this afternoon and will be a few degrees warmer overnight. The winds have died so Bill and other pilots should have a good night at the field.

After Christmas, we hung our new sign.
We love it!
The shape of Ontario.
Good night!

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Thanks for the picture. Hope all crowd shows up for Game Night. You're going to miss a huge snowstorm this weekend 😢 That is a beautiful sign. Did you have it made in Mexico?

    1. You asked so there it is! Ha ha
      Nope, it was another dud.
We heard about the snowstorm and yes, our sign was made in Mexico. It's metal.

  2. I hope you have a good turn out for game night. It is disappointing when someone goes to the trouble of planning an event and nobody shows up.

    1. She is certainly trying but things just aren't working out. People like staying home, indoors, I guess.

  3. Sad the old "crew" are all gone. Maybe it will just take time for folks to join in.

    1. Yes, it is. Not the fault of the new managers so it is sad because of that too.
