Enjoying the Summer Heat, Visiting for Supper

 The Ridge

On Sunday, Oct. 5th we were both up with the birds. I was elated to feel great for yet another morning and when Bill admitted to having had a good sleep, I just may have to conclude that the grounding sheet is helping.

Good morning!

We did receive the FREE tester from Grounding Well and, yes, as Bill figured, we are definitely grounded in our rv. So, faith and positivity in the process is the path I'm walking. I left before 7 to clean the Mat and Bill wasn't too far behind, I'm sure.

I had our laundry loaded in two machines when one customer arrived. He loaded his machine and waited in his truck, which I like. he's very nice but sometimes chatters too much about .... himself. Hmm. I had things cleaned up in my hour and had decided to dry our clothes there. We had plans later.

Ptooties came home a
better person, I mean SUV.
Look at that smile!

The Mat has their new waste management bins outside as well, one for organics and the blue recycle bin. Not sure why the organics at a laundromat but not my concern. At least now, I don't have to clear bag the recyclables inside, I can sort (people still don't get the concept) and drop. 😄

Yummy taco for lunch

Ptooties needed a bath so I stopped at the DIY car wash in town. Much nicer! Gibbs and I went out after I returned home and I worked in the Bunky. Seeing the picture from yesterday, of how organized I was in 2018, gave me the push.

Still waiting on the Dahlias
but this little bumblebee is
enjoying the nectar.
Can you see him?

I moved things, stacked things and swept. Now I have things pretty much put in their place. Ptooties' winter tires, our round table and patio chairs all go in there. Probably the recycle bin too. I've covered Bill's family love seat with an old quilt so any mice won't chew the velveteen fabric.

I used the old magnetic
screen door for here.
I hate throwing things out if
I can repurpose. it makes it
look a wee bit neater.

It was so hot already, with the humidity, that I was a sweaty mess again when I finished. BUT! I'm happy to get a bit done each day. The weather is truly co-operating. Our last week could be 'iffy' with rain so doing what we can is important.

Then we just sat and enjoyed the
cool shade on the patio.
My wee birdies are cleaning up
the feeders and then they will be
put away. I don't leave them out
for the winter or they'd be gone.
Wind, rain, snow.

I had a soft taco for lunch with some of the leftover ground beef mix and will finish it tomorrow. Bill was home from flying at 12:45 and had a bit of a snooze before Donna and Gerry drove over from the Acreage to see what we've done down the lane. They don't get over much anymore so thought it was a great improvement.

The drive to Tavistock was
pretty with clouds moving in.
It didn't cool it down any but this
was pretty with the sun's rays
reaching the soon to be harvested
corn crop.

We cleaned up and left shortly after 2, all 3 of us, for a drive to Tavistock. Yvonne, Bill's oldest daughter, invited us for supper and a visit with the family. It is hard to get everyone together, we understand (tried it for years at our home in London), but their 4 boys (young men now) and 3 girlfriends were all able to be home. 💕

Gibbs slowly made friends.
It was different for Clark and Chloe too,
having a little boy following them.
They were all very good.

It was a great afternoon and although I didn't get a lot of pictures during the visit, we had a nice time. Even Gibbs, who was nervous with the big Goldies at first, soon became comfortable and wandered the property quite freely.

Connor and Avery
spoiling Gibbs.
He's checking to see if I see him.
Little rascal. 💓

He loved the boys, and I think he won a few hearts too. Connor, especially, giving him those special tummy rubs and cuddles had Gibbs returning to that safe space when he needed attention.

Very good meal!
Apple pie, yum!

It was a great supper, beef on a bun with salads etc. Thank you Yvonne and Dennis for doing that. Family pictures ended our visit and then homeward.

Lovely!

Grandma and Grandpa
stepped in.

He was very quiet all the way home. Back home around 8:45, we were tired and after I played my games, we went straight to bed. Surprising for Bill, and he may be up early, but he dropped off quickly.

Clark and Chloe
adorable!
Watching their mom and dad
walk us to the car. 💘

This was a wonderful day, reaching the high 20's/mid 80's again. Yay!

You could say I 'hung the moon'
tonight. 😅

Bill graciously stopped the car
so I could get out and capture this
on the way home.
Awesome!
Good night!

Thank you for stopping by.
