Park Place RV Park
On Tuesday, Dec. 17th I was up by 7 but when I came downstairs, it was still pretty dark outside. I prepared for my walk and stepped outside to take a picture of the pretty eastern sky. I waited until about 7:20 and then headed out. There was a teeny breeze but I was warm enough as I walked in the 41F/5C, singing along to Christmas carols. π
Back
home, Bill and Duncan were ready to head out for the field and I sat with my
morning cup of tea. I was able to complete my games by the time Patty texted
about a 9:30 walk. It was 8:30 so I got the Dirt Devil out and cleaned the
floors. That felt like a job well done, ha ha, don’t want to strain myself! Gibbs
and I went for our uneventful, round the outside perimeter of the park and then
I met Patty out front for our walk.
Pink sky in the east
and
even the moon is in the pink
We connected with Debbie at the back row and took the big walk. Back home, I made my bp coffee and went over to work on the puzzle I started yesterday. I don’t think this one will take long at all and I can start on the Christmas quilts next week. The day has warmed up nicely and by the time I returned at noon for lunch, I could open a couple of windows. ♥
Not traditional BUT the library tree is still pretty. It would be lovely at night. Mr. Cottontail is waiting at the bush. |
The sun didn't rise over the mountain
until after I returned home.
It is in
excellent shape and after I rode it a bit, Bill tested the speeds on it for me.
They seemed to be tight so I paid the man, we stopped for bread and milk, and
Bill used some WD-40 on the gears. When I hopped on and took it around the
paved block, Quail Trail, Las Palamos, Riggles and home, it rode perfectly! π I’m so happy, a gift for Christmas. It came with the basket (not the best), a bike lock, a mirror and even a fairly new helmet. When we got home, I
found a gift online for my sweetie too, so placed that order.
This is the puzzle I'm working on.
I did the sky first, thinking it would be hardest.
Hmmm, we'll see.
The sun
was glorious and since our neighbour to our east left a couple of days ago, for
another journey, I took my gravity chair and table to his lot and read my book.
Now, I’m at the point where it is hard to put down. I read until Bette came
home and then some. She gave me a ‘gift with a condition’. A Cobbler Hills
puzzle that when I finish it, I give it to her daughter-in-law when she arrives
in January. That’s easy!
I've had my suet feeder out for a month
but today was the first time it was visited.
Yay! They found it!
It should
be a fun one and I appreciate the thought! Oh! That reminds me! The Cat Came
Back!! Ha ha, it never really left just found the best hiding spot EVER! Bill
nor I could find her and we really did a thorough search last night. Bill
popped in there this morning at 6:30 and the food was eaten and the kitty
meowed at him. Phew! I was so relieved when he told me so I texted her with the
good news. She wasn’t too worried, figuring she was in there somewhere. ♥
Santa came early. πππ
It's a great bike for me, I will be replacing
the hard seat sooner than later. π
We had
pre-cooked sausages for supper with potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and corn. It was
a very good meal but it created a lot of pots for hand washing. π The evening was spent with my book and then tv for both of
us. It was a great day! My steps yesterday were about 800 shy of my goal but
today were 5,000 over so there ya go! We reached a pleasant 71, with less wind
and more sun so it was perfect. Our overnight will be a few degrees warmer too
so no heat required.
A great supper tonight.
I love these precooked sausages.
Good night!
Thank you
for popping by!
