Park Place RV Park
On Wednesday, Dec. 11th we woke up to an even colder morning. I’m sure folks back home are chuckling when I say it’s cold here BUT we don’t have snow or freezing rain. π It dropped to a pretty normal Arizona winter temperature of 37F/2.7C overnight.
Good morning!
What a surprise it was!
My walk
at 7:15 found me layered up in fleece, a windbreaker, and my poufy vest. Oh,
also gloves and a toque. I wear socks, runners, and thermal leggings so my feet
and legs are always toasty. It was a great walk starting off with a gorgeous
eastern sky and I returned just as the sun was about to rise. Forgot my
sunglasses again! Geesh!
Well, there he is.I haven't seen him
for a while.
It was
Coffee and Snack Hour at the clubhouse at 9, so I hopped into the shower
immediately. (usual) No tea or cereal. (unusual) When my hair had dried sufficiently, I took
Gibbs around his block and by then it was 8:50. Good, my tummy was grumbling. π Sue had coffee made ready for the 9 of us and brought a
delicious, still warm, cranberry loaf. ♥ So good! (usual)
The traffic in the sky was very busy!
I love seeing it from the ground just before
the sunrise.
That hit
the spot. Jess and I refilled our coffee cups and she left for the Desert Camel
and I walked back to hitch a ride with Patty. Class #2 for me! (unusual) Today, there
were 5 of us and one of the best things is that Patti, our former manager,
joined in the fun. Jess is a great, patient, fun teacher and we all enjoyed
her paper quilling. We made Christmas earrings, very dainty finger work but
they all turned out beautifully!
Gibbs watches Daddy leave (usual) Paper quilling class.

See those smiles? We have a good time.
Mine in the top picture. Jess took a picture of everyone's earrings. Hers are the 2 pair not on a card. |
Before we left, we signed up for next week. Wait and see! I picked up a quilling tool at the store and a kit to see how I do on my own. π A new hobby! Back home at noon, Bill and I had our sandwiches on keto bread and I went to the puzzle. (usual)
Someone came in and put the butterflies together, the easy things I like to do last sooooo, I finished the colourful birds before moving on. π |
It was about an hour later when Patty & Duncan invited us to join them on a drive to La Posa South and La Posa North blm. (unusual)
On our drive to the blm's I captured
a few interesting saguaros. π
We used
to stay in the former blm but never been in the latter. It’s a dusty drive out
there, sometimes we think we miss it, but most often, I’m happy where we are.
We made a quick stop at the DG Market for a couple of things each and returned
home. I had a bit of a headache, I think it was too warm in the car for some
reason, so passed on Happy Hour (not to mention I didn’t want to sit in the
cool air), took a couple of pain pills (unusual) and made my tea. (usual)
Woops!
Duncan's car looks the worse for wear
after the desert drive.
Gibbs
gets left out on some of our outings, so with the tea done, I took him for his
walk in the park before we started supper. Grilled sausages tonight, either on
a bun (Bill) or on a plate with a veggie (me) and some Jell-o for dessert. Nice
and simple. Tonight is Survivor night and it is the beginning of the finale so
we were finished by 6 MST so I could watch it live.
Supper was good.
The buns always fall apart, so
messy again.
Simple dessert went down easy.
Good night!
This has
been a good day. They are piling up, although it has been overcast for a lot of
the day making it feel cooler than the high of 62F/16C. Oh well, we are happy
to be here. The sun will come out tomorrow! ♥ We count our blessings every single day.
Thank you for your visit.
Puzzle is really coming along! Earrings are very pretty - will ck out quilling on Google!
